Hey NMS, have you picked a church yet?

If you haven't picked a date yet then it might be worth mentioning that we got quite a few discounts for because our wedding was on a Friday.

It was still a dear do though, I wish we had been more savvy than we were.

    Happy new year x x
Had a lovely meal out last night for new year. Was hoping to drag oh out to have a look at a couple of churches today so I can book the church and get that done and dusted but judging by his current state of hang over I think I may need to postpone until tomorrow. We are both back in work on Tuesday so today and tomorrow will be spent relaxing , getting everything sorted work wise.
So today I'll sort any washing that's needs washing and drying. Check my bank, check out what we have in for sandwiches for lunches this week. Have a look in the freezer and see if I can plan some meals from what we have.
I received the lead for my lap top yesterday!! Just in time to sort out a spreadsheet for January.. I'll get onto that this afternoon.

Hey nomore! Congrats on the news. How is January going so far? I have got to get my butt into gear, so I listed 6 things on Ebay today. Hope things are going well with you x
  • Hi,
Well the first week back at work has been crazy and busy. I've got 100 percent onto the diet wagon and put a pound on last wesnesday.. So have rwalky got onto it this week. I've been walking every day for at least 30 mins but closer to an hour today and yesterday.
I'm going to start jogging tonight, I hate jogging and running and I'm rubbish at it as I'm so over weight but want to Really speed things up with the weight loss so needs must.
I've set a date for my wedding in July - its a friday, booked the venue and just waiting for the vicar of my preferred church to her back to me.
I want to lose 3 stone 13 pounds by July which is 2 pounds every week. I know that if I start rubbing regularly I'll be able to drop more than 2 per week.
As for money saving I have some things I need to get moving with- I have a couple of things I need to advertise on eBay. And need to get on top with meal plans as I'm not up to date with all that yet.
I'm Overdrawn since Christmas but that should sort out on 15th jan.
I did a masive shop the other day for food as hadn't bought much at all right over Christmas and the cupboards and fridge were empty!!!

  • I often think that running or jogging would really kickstart my weight loss, but it knackers my joints up. I am hoping to get an iphone in June when my phone is up and there is an app called couch to 5k which I would like to have a go at.

Lovely to have the date set :T
    Just keep swimming!

I've used Couch to 5k, it is really good. If running knackers your joints though, have you considered power walking? If you are slightly out of breath and can feel your heart pumping, it is still really good for you - and you can still do it to music of course. :)
  • Well today I have walked for 57 mins this afternoon and run / jogged and walked for 33 mins, 2.4 miles jogging.
I'll probably be super stiff tomorrow but it's a good start I think.
I use the app- mypersonaldiet it's free and it has all kinds of really useful
Stuff on. Tracks food intake, but the best bit is the gps for tracking and mapping excersize- so I turn it on and it tracks on a map where I walk or run and then at the end says exactly how far and how long it's taken, average speed , no of Calaries burned etc. it's absolutely brilliant and free as well- that doesn't happen often!!!
I'm feeling tired tonight which is great as for the last week after Christmas I've been wide awake at night and dead to the world in the morning!!
Have sorted lunch out for tomorrow at work -gammon and pepper egg loaf all free on sw. Chopped up a load of fruit too so will take that too.
Me and oh are car sharing tomortow - we're on a save petrol mission this month.
Didn't do internet shop- will do this tomorrow!

    Well done you!

Where's that halo?! Hope it's not been ebayed!
  • Very stiff today!! No excersize today but have been very good on diet do here's going that tomorrow nights weigh in wiill be good news.
Church confirmed wedding date today and dress arrived through post - hurrah- everything done!
Well most things! No money spent today and overtime tonight til 8pm that's 4 hours so that should come through in feb pay.,
Will pay straight off card :)
Had sw rice for tea that I made last night - it was yum. Tomortow night I'm walking ( if it's not raining) to sw and back as working late again so won't get chance to do anything otherwise. Also I'd nit too stop running at 9pm for 30 mins..,
Work is tough at the moment - too much work to fit into a day and feeling very stressed with it.. Must keep work in perspective- its just work!
Not having time to surf the forums or Mse site at all at the moment.., must find some more hours in each day, that will help! X
