  • Hi back!
Does mean I don't get to see a lot of my OH though, but hey ho - that's the same for lots of people.

Thats really tough hun.. my OH is always going on about spending time together - I was working overtime Tue wed thurs and fri night til 9.30, eating my tea and then going to bed at 10.30 cause i was so exhausted,. He said hed rather we took longer to pay things off and saw each other a couple of nights and I agreed - Its not so much the ctual time its just the beign tired all the time thts difficult to cope with. I just do Tuesday late nights and a couplke of hours on wednesday now and we spend thursday evening together.. usually just sat in the lounge together as we're skint but its nice and I feel less stressed too so its worked out well - we miss the money though and I get frustrated with everythign taking so long - we jsut keep saying it won't be like this forever

Well done on ebaying, I am going to tackle mine now. I bet there are a million updates to Turbo lister since I last used it!! Deffo got some dance shoes and a few other bits I can put on there to try and plug the [STRIKE]Watford[/STRIKE] January Gap.
    xx

Hope you managed to list a couple of bits...I'm lucky that i can do mine on the app on my phone which means its not a big hassle - if i had to use my computer and transfer photos etc I don't think I'd bother as much. xxx

  • yeah It was reading the Long haul thread that inspried me most - gonna make it my aim to try and join some challenges as well. Was saving my £2 coins, dont get many but already had to dip in to them, so maybe that wasnt the challenge for me !

Managed to get two things listed, I am planning on doing some more later when OH goes to bed! x
  • So today is Monday - Day 8.. I think...

Plan for today was to keep to my diet - not been too bad - did scoff a couple of chocks but had home made veg soup for my lunch and fruit and then a low fat tea so think i've done ok really.

I had planed to come home and tidy the house up .. which I did not do as I worked late at work but luckily for me my OH finished at 4.30 and by the time i got home at 7pm he had made tea and tidied up.. hurrah - i do love him!!

I sent myself an email to remind me to claim my train ticket - which I am please to report I have done!! ah ha... and sent it off too! result.

Bad news is I checked my bank balance and I'm £2 overdrawn... boo to that i'll get charged £5 for using my overdraft.. which isn't a lot in the grand scale of interest I'm paying on the credit cards but I was really hoping to avoid going OD.. Not to worry its done now.

I have done an online shop at asda tonight - to be delivered on Thursday. I actually forgot to order tinned tomatoes so need to go back and do that but not tonight - i've had enough! Its cost 54.07 which means I get free delivery and it seems like a lot but really hardly anythign is coming!! i've bought 3 x mince for £10 and 3 x bacon for £10 and some cat food and the rest is stuff like veg milk and eggs - no treats in there!!I have recorded the figure onto my spread sheet.

I've got 3 items finishing on ebay tonight and I'm pleased to report that all three are selling - all be it 2 of them for not very much but its clearing a space in my cupboard so it really doesn't matter. I'll get them packed up tomorrow. One of the items is up to £18.. so thats great and I'm going to pay it off my RBS card..
So I've done everything I had planned to do today except the tidying but that's done too so time to relax for a bit - i'm really pretty exhausted after working all weekend and I'm looking forward to finishing work for the Christmas break.

Tomorrow i'm going to start a mileage sheet for my petrol ...I'm working tomorrow night and I've not got any food to take with me tomorrow for my lunch - but I;ll take shreddies and have them and i have some beans on my desk so if i get desperate i can have them!!

I have tue and wed to get through before payday and no money at all but i think its going to be ok as I don't think i need to buy anything.

Its mums birthday next week - on payday i need to get her a card and also sort out her present - I've ordered stuff on line but it hasn't' come - it will hopefully have come by next week though. I only have her a birthday or christmas present so if her birthday stuff doesnt' arrive in time I'll need to get her something quick and then she can have the other gift for christmas.

I may take some time off work ( time owed) on payday and go and sort presents out - that way if I've bought everything I can do a proper christmas budget. - Yes i think thats the best plan!!

We've been doing quite well with the heating - tonight it was on 16 and it was cold so we;ve put it up to 18 and I'll knock it down to 17 overnight. We've certainly been a lot more conscious of how long its been on for and what temperature it is set at. OH said not to be too dissapointed if it doesn't drop the bill much as he suggested that what we are saving on heat we might be using in electricity with the christmas festivities - lights!!! I guess if it stays the same its better than it going up again because of the lights.

Early night for me I think - i can;t stop yawning!!!

I'm not surprised, blimey, what a busy day!! Well done you! x:T
  • good evening...
I have promised myself i'll be in bed at ten which gives me 7 mins to type!!!
Today has been ok - I've done 2nd job tonight 4.30 - 9.30 just come in and eaten tea ( it was not sliiming world - Oh made it and I was too hungry to care !! Chips ( home made but in fryer!!!!) fish and beans.) It was lovely but I expect it will mean that i haven't lost tomorrow night at SW - never mind... Will have to make an extra effort next week!.

Sold 3 items on ebay last night so need to get them packed up and sent off tomorrow - made abotu £40 so i;m very pleased - I shall record on my diary when I have transferred the money into my account and then off my RBS card!!
I've got another few items on ebay finishing next week and OH said he'd dig me some stuff out this weekend to list - must remember to ask him.

I haven't recovered from the VERY long days over the weekend working and am feeling washed out. I didn;t sleep well last night as stressed with work - plus OH woke me up howling with laughter in his sleep!!!

Right - thoughts for tomorrow - last day before payday so - don't spend anything except for the postage on the ebay things. Will send them off - thats my only job for tomorrow!!

Haha ... seriously if I could make money from him I would!!!!! He has holes in is pockets... he never has any money!! But i count my blessings because he's a legend in the house - he makes tea most nights as I'm working more hours than him, and he does all the tidying up, and most of the clothes washing ( although doesn't put them away- but hey who cares) hes a diamond!!!;)

  • Well done on the eBay sales :T It all adds up :D I remember in my past life I would fritter away £40.00 without blinking but now to get that money towards the debts is a massive achievement (and sometimes is the difference between being overdrawn and not being overdrawn! :o)
    Just keep swimming!
