Just wanted to say hi, also have you thought about the CC';s yet? My only advice would be pay the minimum amounts off all cards but the one with the highest interest rate, i can see you've paid about £100 off each this month, so if you can afford £300 pe4r month then pay the minimum off all the cards then whatever the remainder is ad this to your payment off the one with the most interest. I know this may take a bit of figuring out as you may have more on a particular card that actually has a lower interest rate. Maybe you could look back through your statements and see which ones are incurring the largest charges each month and use that as a guide rather than the actual interest rate applied.
Hope that makes some sort of sense:)
Also look at whether you could get one card which is 0% which you could transfer some of the balances to? or even all the balnces, not sure who's doing good deals at the moment but i'm sure there's an app on the main site

Excellent advice. Can I just say on this point though, how annoying it is that some CC companies seem to use a yearly APR and have that printed on their statements, whilst others use a monthly one? I'm sure if you're good at maths it is easy to figure out, but because of the compound interest I'm never sure how to convert monthly into yearly. They should be made to use one or the other!!
It's like in T*sco, I've noticed when you buy fruit and veg, some of the labels say 'xxp per lb' and others say 'xxp per kilo'. The only reason they can be doing that is to bamboozle poor folk about which is the cheapest produce to buy. It's not on really!

Hi back!
Do you know, I am so used to the late nights at work now that it doesn't bother me too much, although having said that, I am completely shattered today, but I think that's just the long shifts rather than the times. Does mean I don't get to see a lot of my OH though, but hey ho - that's the same for lots of people.
Well done on ebaying, I am going to tackle mine now. I bet there are a million updates to Turbo lister since I last used it!! Deffo got some dance shoes and a few other bits I can put on there to try and plug the [STRIKE]Watford[/STRIKE] January Gap.
Mince pies sound good , you can only have one mind!
lol!! xx 0 -
With regards to the CC's, it is confusing, so maybe look at the ones which are costing you the most in the interest each month bu l;ooking at what they actually add on to the bill in money? Only a thought:~)0

Hi NoMoreSpending. This time of year I am normally so naughty with my food - last year, I got into a habit of buying iced mince pies from Tescos yum yum yum. And then the habit became that everytime me and my boss had a cup of tea at work, we would have one. It ended up that I was eating two per day. Our bin in our office was full of those little foil cases that they come in
So far this year, my boss bought one box and i said "no thank you". I have resisted - although I still haven't really lost any weight
but I suppose the good thing is, I haven't put any on either??
£50.00 sounds a lot for hair, but mine is just long and doesn't really have a shape or style or anything. I know a couple of youngsters in the village who can give it a trim and I colour it myself with a box of Nutrisse (well I get my MIL to put it on for me - more ends up on my head than my hair
) Just keep swimming!0 -

Well done you!! It's tough to keep saying no, isn't it? But it's a big achievement to not put on at this time of year. :T0 -
Ohh my goodness how lovely to have more posts ... Hello Ecoelle, thevinternet and itsadogslife... thank you for posting.. Will have another go at quoting in a mo!!!!:j
Back form work at 10 15... long day today at work but not done too badly diet wise... I have had 1 mince pie.... doh!! but OH had chips and sausage for tea and i have not for which if i had a angel smilie i woudl give myself one- feel very proud of myself!!
Nipped to the bank tonight and put £40 in through the cash deposit scheme I'm hoping that this will just keep me from going overdrawn this week.
Have bee at work all weekend so the house is a it of a state... Need to make sure I give some time to getting on top of the house work tomorrow night otherwise I get really stressed and feel like i'm not coping. I have a couple of ebay items finishing tomorrow so fingers crossed they sell.
One of the items i listed this morning has already got a bid on so i;m really pleased about that.
Not going to set myself too much to do tomorrow as its been a long weekend, i'm tired and need to give myself a bit of a breather - so tomorrow I will do a load of washing, tidy up a bit so the house is straight, order an online shop for delivery on Thursday night - going for Asda this week as they have put a free delivery in my basket if i order £50 and I have some coupons i think that should bring it down to just over £40 ( i was under my £40 limit last week so wont' feel too bad) .
Oh and I'm goign to claim my train ticket back from the other day.. must remember! will send myself an email now to remind myself!!Baby due 4th May 2013

Thanks .. I do need to spend some time sorting this out .. I have been on a few of my credit card statements and started adding the interest i'm payign each month to my spread sheet so that i can see whats goign on .. Sansburys tesco and RBS are all pretty high and the others are at 0% but only til march and APril. I want to try and clear RBS as i think if i can clear it quicky they will offer me a promotional rate and I can try and get one of the high ones transferred accross.
I know what you mean about dropping the other payments to the minimum - i need to spend some time really looking at this to make sure i'm manageing them properly...a job for next weekend I think as i'm not working - hurrah!!!!

Not putting any weight on is really impressive and saying no to mince pies - i really love them and I just keep trying to think about how difficult it is to lose weight... so trying to just have one and then compensate later in the day by not havign any other treats at all!!!
I know £50 is a lot for my hair - part of the reason I dont' colour it myself is that I was doign all the time - I had it very red and did it myself every couple of months - I went to my hairdressers to have it done blonde which I love and i usually swap between red and blonde once each year - however this time it too so much bleach to lift all the red out I dare not colour it blonde myself... I dont' mind the ££25 to colour it - Just need to reduce the frequecy and not have it cut. I'm goign to colour it aagain in feb ( but raise the money through ebay sales first) and then have it cut in april. I've had the same hair dresser for about 15 years and i relly dont' want to change... but i do agree its an extravagance when I have sooo much debt to be busting!!!Baby due 4th May 2013
