Loving the sound of the watch Hypno - sorry I'm a bit behind the times but just been catching up a tad. You can look at the watch each time you tell the time and think positive thoughts about it being 'time for you to be doing whatever is right for that particular time in your life'.
I asked for a bracelet for me birthday last year and felt very guilty as I hadn't asked for something practical or clothes as I usually do. This bracelet is one of the ones that beads/charms can be added to - think you might know the kind - every high street seems to have a shop. On their own not excessively expensive but once added to could add up to a pretty penny. Anyway I know these bracelets are very common and mass produced but it has given me so much pleasure already - various family members have bought me a bead for Christmas and as I wear it I have thought of each person. I plan to buy a few charms for myself too - when I reach certain goals in my life - like when I loose a stone - I'll buy a new stone to relace the one I've lost!! (Mind games to help me on my way LOL)
Here's to making The Hypno House an even 'more special' place than it is already over 2012 - remember it's the people that make a happy and special home but a few nicities along the way can't do any harm!!
Happy 2012 Hypno - thanks for hanging in there for us allJanuary spends - £587.580 -
Thank you milann - that is a lovely post to wake up to! I do, absolutely, get pleasure from my watch - I haven't yet had even a fleeting moment of feeling that I shouldn't have bought it, which if I had bought something else, or at other times of my life, I would have had some thoughts of "what on earth did I do that for". It was definitely the right time for me to do this, and really does fit in well with the way things are going for me at the moment.
I am looking forward to getting the house tweaked - there is not much to do, but it is little things that make the extra smiles rather than big projects. To that end, I need to get a loft ladder to make it easier to get stuff put away, and I might look at getting some winter pansies or something to put in the pots on the patio, so may aim to head to B&Q later on.
In MSE news, I have signed up to the 100 day challenge - I will not buy coffees on the way to work (except on Wednesdays I have decided, just so I don't feel I am going without all the time) and I will endeavour to take lunches in to work whenever possible. For each of these that I achieve, I will transfer £1 into the pot and will do something fun and fabulous with it at the end of the 100 days, which is 6th April.
I have also signed up to a NSD challenge for January running on fb - as I am on there as much as I am on here it seems appropriate to use it as a motivator for the whole NSD thing. I have signed up to 20 days - this is going to be tough, but combined with the coffee/lunch thing could make all the difference to my budgets.

So, I need slapping around the face with a wet fish.
I am supposed to be buying a very exciting loft ladder. but I seem to have been distracted by an email from those lovely people at LK Bennett telling me that there are some lovely bargainous shoes out there with my name on.
Needless to say.......:rotfl::rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Some serious financial resolutions there, Hypno. Go for it!
I'm giving serious thought to trying not to spend anything for a month à la https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3385674. I'm not sure I will be able to stick to it 100% as I have music lessons I can't very well stop for a month (else my teacher might not take me back as it's messing up her livelihood) and a 50th birthday party I will have to buy drinks at, but I'm going to give it a go. I read the Judith Levine book 'Not Buying It' last year, and I've always wondered what it would be like to have a bash: this would be the modified version.
If I don't see you before, have a brilliant start to 2012 and I look forward to reading your many adventures during the year.*insert dodgy hug*

Pickle, I wish you all the best! I would fail by about 8.30am on day one though!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Well, they're just gorgeous. It would be rude...to the point of being very un-Christmassey....to ignore their pleas to come home with you, now wouldn't it??0 -
It was the product description that did it for me:
"A vibrant and sultry shoe that will bring out your inner goddess, Nigella is for women who like to say yes to life!"
They know how to get me every time :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Of course, you know that the only way to thank someone to going to all that effort in their marketing blurb is to actually buy the shoe (on sale of course - we're MSE-ing here!).:D
