  • I wish wish wish I could still wear fabulous heels. I pay that price for ugly shoes lol. Unfortunately the price I have to pay for knackering my feet in my younger years. But hey I can still walk :) ( trying to find a positive )

Thanks LMW! It is one of the things I have built into my "new me" life. I have always loved beautiful shoes, and of course couldn't ever afford them or justify them.

Now, I make full use of the LKB and Hobbs sales and the ebay outlet - I have yet to pay full price for a pair of boots or shoes, and so reckon that's pretty reasonable - able to buy gorgeous shoes, that I wear every day to make me feel good, at prices that are not horrific any more.

  • Hello Hypno! Long time lurker, and fellow appreciator of a good shoe, here.

See to be honest good shoes at half price or better are good for your wallet, and good for not giving you blisters because of the nice soft leather. And we all love Nigella don't we?

    Enjoy!

Ooh, thrifty - 8 weeks until your DFD? How exciting!!! 2012 will indeed be your year to shine :D

I have to admit that since I have been buying LKBs, other than getting them re-heeled, I am more than impressed with them in terms of comfort, blisters etc. I do wear heels as an every day thing when at work, and pretty much the same when I go out. I do need to look for some gorgeous flats too, but always seem to get distracted by the higher heeled lovelies!

It is one of the things I learned when re-doing my wardrobe.....spending a bit more, in a savvy way, on the best quality classics you can afford, will pay dividends in the long run. So far that is working well for me.

    Well, that's my reasoning anyway.....:rotfl:

I love the shoes and they are still available in my size... I only managed to resist cos I know what I'm like with covered heels - I wreck them on first wearing :(
