Hmm, we paid around £400 for out very cheap chinese import stove. Hubby built hearth and tiled around the stove. Our twin lined flue we paid around £60 a metre. Maybe a hundred more for brackets etc. He done the install himself and as a builder charging for a days work for one man - £500
So yes Id say someone it taking the mick
Try a builder. You dont need a hetas fitter. What you do need is it to be signed off by the council -around £1000 -

I will have a ring around and see if I can get it done by a local builder. thanks for that and also ring the local council about getting the job signed off afterwards

9kw, is that why you havnt lit it..!!:D
Lol
No, i wouldnt change it for anything smaller at all. Really really pleased that i chose this size and model. Had it going most days. Using about 10 pieces of years old ash a day and that easily heats the whole of the house. No need for central heating to be on0 -
Wanted to post a pic but got the message
"Sorry as a new user you are not allowed to post with links. This is done to stop spammers clogging up the site. Please edit your message below to continue" so couldn't do it. What a shame!!
Especially when I have been helped so much by kind people on this forum who have given me sound advice to get it (the woodburning stove) running really efficiently!0 -
