It's a very smart installation, but are you not missing out on the heat generated by the sides and top of the stove?

I know that my free standing stove generates almost as much heat from the top and sides, as it does from the front - especially with the Ecofan running as well.

Partially, the stove has a convector chamber that is supposed to help disperse the heat out from the front. The sides and back have to be well insulated. I guess I miss out on a bit but not too much I hope. Couldn't really fit a free standing stove in unfortunately.

Ours on the day of install. I've got to get rid of the hearth surround and the hideous black gloss paint but that's essentially it!

and lit at Chrimbo....
