How can anyone do this :(

It's not often I read the News online but it seems like everytime I do there is always an upsetting story on animal cruelty.

I do not want to post too much information in this thread for those who don't want to read into detail so here is the link:

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/3976106/Catch-the-sicko-who-fed-a-kitten-to-a-python.html

How can anyone do that to an innocent little animal and even record it and post it online! Hopefully someone can help catch the sicko before it happens again!

He faces six months' jail and a £20,000 fine for causing unnecessary suffering under the Animal Welfare Act 2006.

So many sick stories recently. I really hope he gets caught and given the maximum punishment, though he will probably only get a small fine and a slap on the wrist.

Its so sad. If he gets 6 months jail that is still not enough.

I've just noticed the Sun have even published the video on the story, not sure why anyone would want to watch that, it would be disturbing!

I agree - it was bad enough reading about it and seeing the pictures, there is no way I would subject myself to watching the video.

Yes and I am fuming about the sun printing those pictures. I was just having a browse through my paper earlier and spotted these images. How low can a newspaper go on a story like that? Absolutely disgusted and the images remain with me. I think someone would need to be very disturbed to watch a video. Sickened.

    thats a bunny

Some snakes only eat live food. Why does a cat have more rights than a rat, mouse or a rabbit.

I am definitely not clicking on that link

Where has anyone said that a cat has more rights than any other animal?

Personally I am against cruelty to all animals, hence why I have been a vegetarian for 24 years.

Images of the sicko that done this would have been enough to show his face, there really was no need to publish other images or the whole 7 minute video! Surely they can track him down with the IP address where the accounts were created and videos uploaded from.

I hope someone throws him in a cage with a Tiger! What an evil disturbed sick person he is.

So have I... but I do see justjohn's point here that some snakes do eat their food live, and pythons catch and kill their food, and that people do feed live small animals to their pet snakes. It's considered acceptable to do this exact same thing to a live mouse, yet there's outrage if the same thing is done to a kitten.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's horrible, but sometimes you have to check your emotions and look at things objectively, particularly when it comes to dishing out the 'justice'.

There would not be as much an uproar if it was a mouse or a rat.

The snake was hungry or it would not feed.

I think it should be irrelevant what animal it is.
The circumstances and the reasons are a different mater.....A moral one at that
