Why does one agency say you have a bad credit rating and the other agency says you have a good credit rating? Surly your credit rating would be the same with both agencys!
Isn't it costly to check your credit rating with both agencys? Isn't it like £6.00 a month with each agency?0 -

There are three agencies altogther. Experian and Equifax both offer a statutory credit report, posted to you for around £2 - so no it doesn't have to be costly.
Also there are free trials if you are canny for the online services.Got Halifax Classic to reduce my interest rate by 5% woohoo - 10/06/08 Thanks MSE!

checkmyfile.com can show you all 3 credit ratings. It costs £15 every 3 months and you can look at them as often as you like

Yeah but look at all the data that's missing....
From the checkmyfile.com website:
Note all the info you don't get from Experian - the biggest and most widely used of the 3 agencies.
Best advice is to make use of free trails from all three and from thereon obtain statutory reports at 2 quid a pop.

You can subscribe to CRAs if you wish or pay for an instant online credit report, but paper credit files by post from all 3 agencies are £2 each by law (hence called statutory report).
Any sort of credit scores from the CRAs are really not worth paying for - they are expensive and essentially worthless.
