Waste of time, it is about as accurate blind sniper! It needs updating so don’t take it as factual data, who are you going to try applying via?

cheers for the update and response - much appreciated. I am thinking of applying to Marks and Spencer for a loan. They are currently offering a return of 25% of interest after the last payment. I have a good rating with callcredit, ok rating with experian, and not so good with equifax...

    thanks,

    Inespo.

    islayuk,

The problem with those points they mean nothing in the real credit world.

You could have 1000 across the board and still get rejected, it all depends what the credit provider sees as a commercial risk at the time of application.

You could try a sub prime card now, but as you only have a month to go, I would wait until the default drops off and then your only problem will be lack of history rather than adverse history.
As above, ignore the points !

I think the original list needs an update, as the RBS group of companies seem now only to use equifax.

So the fact that i have a score will be ignored when they see no defaults is that right
i also have an arrangment to pay back in 06 an a couple of 1-2 months late payments how serious is this

who would you recommend to try first i was thinking nationwide as they gave me a remortgage about 6 months ago

    islayuk,

Every lender will have a different view point on what they accept or will not, I have 2 accounts with barclays but when I tried to get the argos mastercard that is run by home retial via barclays I got refused on score, yet I have scored good on a few recent cards.

Its anyones guess, one day you might pass the next you fail?

Nationwide would be a good bet of you got a mortgage with them also if you do get knocked back then you can appeal siteing your mortgage.

    Regards

    John

Just had my experian file and RBS group do check experian as well as equifax, I always thought my file was great with equifax and not experian hence why I believed when I was approved for these cards that they must only check equifax but no they check both.

just thought you should know in case you were going to apply due to equifax only search

    Hi,

I applied for RBS card just last week and they searches Experian. It showed immediately on my creditexpert report.

  • can anyone tell me how long a credit card company has to register a default on a persons credit file as i think four years after the default must be wrong.
