LloydsTSB PPI Payment

  • Having been lucky enough to get my money from Lloyds I used it to pay my credit card bill off entirely...or so I thought.

First I made the payment on line and despite being able to pay anyone else I choose by faster payments, I can't pay a Lloyds Credit Card from a Lloyds Bank Account without it taking, you guessed it 3 working days.

So in the time it took the money to get from Lloyds to Lloyds, they took my monthly direct debit payment as well, so my card ended up in credit.

I decided that rather than get that money back in a cheque (we've all waited for one of them) I would just spend it and bought myself something nice. Sadly despite not even spending the whole credit balance I had miscalculated and Lloyds took some more interest charges off the credit card account after I had spent the credit balance so I was in debit again.

No fear I have plenty of refund left so I tried again to pay. This time, to avoid more interest being charged, I rang up and asked to make a payment by debit card, you guessed it again this would take a minimum of 1 working day to leave my bank account and another working day to credit my card account as it is Friday that is a total of 4 days for my money to go from Lloyds to Lloyds.

    Am I missing something here?

  • Hi. Just phoned Lying Total Scum Bags, and was told that payment by BACS only go into bank A/C's within the hours of 12 Midnight to 04:00 AM Mon-Fri, so don't bother checking on Sat/Sun. This is different to what I had been told previously by some other moronic robot! My original letter was dated 02/Aug, so I reckon I've been waiting the longest and it is now p***ing me right off! Lloyds are a total joke!

You're a week longer than me Bruce. Have you gone down the MP route yet?
Still doesn't make sense though as people have been paid at 3.30pm in the afternoon to Lloyds.

Hadn't you heard? There are only 251 days in a Lloyds year, none of the other 114 exist, they don't happen, the world only turns between 9am and 5pm on weekdays.

When you think you have been waiting a week you haven't, I know that the days appear to have passed, but at Lloyds it has only been 5 days.

An email you say, they are instantaneous you send it and it is there immediately, but that is in the real world at Lloyds an email will take 10 working days to be responded to and that is one sent internally. If you send them an email by the time they respond email itself will have been superseded by another form of communication;)

  • Kevin, in my case, as I am sure it is in many others, it is causing severe financial hardship..... Email your MP back and tell him/her that and remind them that Lloyds is almost half owned by the government and that ad he/she is your elected representative to government then the least they can do is send a letter on your behalf!! ...... If you have already done that then I apologise, it could also be that your MP is somehow connected to Lloyds...... It isn't Andrea is it? :o

You would think your MP would be happy to help!

They will want your vote in time to come, or you may have already voted for him or her previously, if so then tell them that.

Got off of the phone about an hour ago; I have just about calmed down now.

My restructure letters were not sent because there were a small number of people who were missed off the original spreadsheet and obviously I am one of them. So I am going to have letters sent to me now.

The thing that angered me was that when I asked why there was a backlog in the first place I was told "It is because of people like you who call each week which is considered excessive and this holds us up from doing other things". I have only called each Friday since week 6 and this is week 8. I told the chap that I had been given the impression that all Customer Services do is to take calls. He told me that they also send emails to the claims advisors and that takes time.

My new letters will not give me a timescale as to when to expect my refund only what I should be getting.

I am so fed up. I am convinced that I will not see my refund this side of Christmas. My original offer letters were dated 22nd September.
