started my claim may 2011 , was supposed to recieve it by november 2011 but was just paid the interest .Have had nothing since :(
Come on LLoyds you are losing customers left ,right and centre .....pull your fingers out please
  • No way to retrieve them from the old address? Couldn't you leave a forwarding address with the current occupants? Or wouldn't you trust them with cheques?

It really is appalling customer service, even if you don't bank with them anymore.

Does this Bank really hope to actually save money with all these delays, I wonder? Do they hope people will forget? Give up? Die?
Thanks Moneyineptitude, the thing was that I didn't know the cheques had been sent to the old address until I called Lloyds this week. I can only assume the current occupants of my old house returned the cheques to Lloyds which prompted them to cancel them. How annoying that every time I ring Lloyds (every 2 or 3 weeks since November) I have to confirm my current address to them as part of the security procedures! Their front line customer "service" and their payments section may as well be on different planets, considering how poorly they communicate and share information with each other.

Perhaps you need to get in touch with the current occupants and give them your forwarding address? No need to explain exactly what the Bank are trying to send you, of course!

I know this isn't ideal, but it might prove to be the most expedient option available to you.

I do hope it's sorted soon...

Been phoning uo every 2 weeks for, the last 4 months. Nobody is interested. why can't somebody just say yes I'll chase it up for you and I'll get back to you. Customer service is just non existant. Just spoke to my local branch about an account of mine and said as soon as this mess is sorted I'm going somewhere else. Been There nearly 40 years. her reply I'll put a note on your file not to contact you anymore. I want to scream.

Can anyone help since Lloyds seem unable to be willing to even try?

I put in a PPI claim back at the beginning of March 2011. I finally received a letter from Lloyds outlining what they were offering to bring my complaint to a conclusion. This included repayment of money owed to me as a result of the misselling of PPI. This letter informed me that the payment would be made by cheque.

I called them the following day on the number provided to notify them of a change of address as I was due to move the next week. The gentlemen I spoke to said not to bother with the change of address as he would change the method of payment to go straight to my current account as I held it with Lloyds. I thanked him for this and believe that was the end of it.

    Was I ever wrong?

A month later I had received no payment so I rang Lloyds once again to find out when it would be paid. I was informed that cheques had been dispatched…and to my old address. I asked why, they couldn’t explain. They suggested that the cheques could be cancelled and new ones could be sent to my new address within the next fortnight. Since this was about the only option I seemed to have I agreed for this to be done.

    Nothing showed up.

A month later I phoned again to find out where the cheques were. This time I was told that the payment was now going to be made directly to my account. I asked why this had suddenly changed. I wasn’t given an answer. It was at this point that I started to be told that timescales couldn’t be given for PPI refund payments although I was at least informed that if the payment hadn’t been made within 10 working days I should call back. 10 working days later…no payment…phone call made…now no timescale could be given at all.

I have since phoned Lloyds on a monthly basis to find out what’s going on only to be given the same response each time. No timescales, payment will be made to you soon.

    So here are my issues:

    (1) It’s now been over 12 months since I first made my complaint. Still not resolved.
    (2) It has also now been over 6 months since Lloyds wrote to me outlining the payment they would be making to me for refunded PPI. Still no payment received.
    (3) If Lloyds had changed my address or altered the payment to DD as requested at the beginning I would have received the payment back in September. They did not and are yet to apologise for this or try to resolve the mistake they made.

I’m at my wits end with this. Lloyds are offering no assistance, no insight into what is going on and on a whole is providing awful customer service. Needless to say once this saga has concluded I shall be switching my banking allegiance.

Oh, and I’ve also written to the Ombudsman outlining (in more detail) all of the above. So far…no response.

Yeesh! Anyone in the same boat/have any advice to give/know of a decent high street bank?

    Sorry if I’ve bored anyone!

This isn't good enough. Time to set them a deadline before court action.

I think thats your only hope.
  • They are very good at telling lies over the phone and saying one thing but mean another! Mind you sometimes it can take 10 working days for things to come from them in the post, but they are not the quickest.
If you dont hear from them within 3 weeks and nothing then, write back to them, recorded delivery and chase it up!
Phoning them is just a waste of time!! They are very good at delaying people!! They must still to certain deadlines and if it goes over those deadlines and time is getting on, write to them!;)

arrrgh, I didn' think I'd ever be back on this topic heh.

Lloyds (finally) paid us twice in Dec, we sent them a cheque back for the 2nd payment in the SAE they enclosed in their letter.

Firstly; they've lost the cheque :o (and that account (a lloyds one) is now closed; so long lloyds!)

Secondly; on the phone they had no idea they had even sent a letter with an SAE asking for it back

Complete morons. Someone was meant to ring us back after looking for it....about a month ago. I suspect we're going to get a nasty letter from them saying we've taken their money and demanding immediate repayment before too long (despite sending cheque back in Jan) They really are a complete joke :rotfl:

Hi, I've had a similar issue. I received offers on a number of loans at the end of February. I even received payment in the second week of March so I can't complain there. However, I then received another offer for one of the loans that I'd already received an offer and payment for. However, this offer is giving me more than £318 less. I telephoned this morning and spent almost an hour on the telephone to 3 different people....each time I got cut off. Firstly they told me that they couldn't find any trace of the loan number and then they said that I'd received this second offer letter in error. I realsied that myself. However, I'm a little concerned that they might ask me to pay the difference of £318 back to them. Obviously I will be telling them where to go but it doesn't stop me worrying. How could 2 people access repayments and both come up with different figures? The whole thing is a mess. Hopefully you can get your business resolved once and for all.
  • I received my offer letter in December. Heard nothing for a few months, then received part payment at the end of February. This was only for £330 of the £2100 I was owed.

Didn't hear anything else, so I took gringo2000's advice and sent them a letter recorded delivery, saying that if I did not receive full payment by the beginning of April I would proceed to take court action.

Then last week 5th April, I received a nice juicy cheque in the post dated the 2nd April, with the rest of my payment! :j

I'm so glad I don't have to chase them anymore! What a nightmare it has been, and I feel for those who have had claims in the system since last year. Good luck to you all!!
