Started claim process early August. Should have received offer letters in early December (which did not turn up). After lots of phone calls finally received letters with an interest calc up to 9th Jan.
After much chasing including phone calls, emails etc we have finally been paid today (if 9th Jan was day 28 then we were paid on day 105 I think)
Funny thing is that we knew it was coming into our bank today as hubby got a phone call from his local branch on Friday informing him of the impending good news -so that we can book an appointment to decide how we want to invest the money !!!! Flipping cheek - trying to (mis)sell us some new products!!
Will be investing it on clearing down the loan and our credit cards and then saying bye-bye to Lloyds
Keep the faith :beer:0 -
Wish they'd pay Hubby!! Started for his credit card 6th of January, letter stating 8 week timespan sent on the 12th of January he rang after the 10 week point THANKS to advice from another forum on MSE. 12th of March was escalated, he rang a week later (19th) and was told he was under investigation, rang this morning to be told he's "under investigation alright". 35 years with the Bank to be spoken to like that is an insult, I could cry for him as he's such a sweetie and would n't dream of speaking to someone in that tone. All they want to do in branch is ignore this PPI stuff and sell us an ISA!!! I'm thinking of encouraging him to change banks after this is all sorted out!!!!0

i am very confused! what just happened????
I just went onto lloyds tsb website and at the bottom of the page about ppi refunds, it actually DID say, we aim to make payment within 28 days of our offer letter. If you do not receive payment within 28 days, please call us and we will make payment within 5 days!
In my excitement, i logged on here......went back onto lloyds planning to copy and paste onto here, and guess what, the page has changed back to what it originally said, mentioning nothing about 28 days!????? am i seeing things or is it possible that the page was changed back?? i know i DEFINATELY saw this, but have spent 20 mins trying to find it again :-( i was hopeful of getting a speedy payment then! :-(0 -

Hi Just found what you were looking for
However we have experienced a large volume of new cases over recent months. This has created some complications for us that we are putting right. As a result we are aware that in certain cases, there could be a delay in customers receiving their payment. We apologise if you have not received your payment within 28 days of our decision letter and thank you for your patience.
If you are still waiting for your payment, and it is more than 28 days since you received our decision letter, please call our helpline on 0845 601 2683. We'll aim to arrange payment within five days. A small number of complex cases may take longer than 5 days however we'll ensure you are kept updated every step of the way.0 -
Can anyone help since Lloyds seem unable to be willing to even try?
I put in a PPI claim back at the beginning of March 2011. I finally received a letter from Lloyds outlining what they were offering to bring my complaint to a conclusion. This included repayment of money owed to me as a result of the misselling of PPI. This letter informed me that the payment would be made by cheque.
I called them the following day on the number provided to notify them of a change of address as I was due to move the next week. The gentlemen I spoke to said not to bother with the change of address as he would change the method of payment to go straight to my current account as I held it with Lloyds. I thanked him for this and believe that was the end of it.
Was I ever wrong?
A month later I had received no payment so I rang Lloyds once again to find out when it would be paid. I was informed that cheques had been dispatched…and to my old address. I asked why, they couldn’t explain. They suggested that the cheques could be cancelled and new ones could be sent to my new address within the next fortnight. Since this was about the only option I seemed to have I agreed for this to be done.
Nothing showed up.
A month later I phoned again to find out where the cheques were. This time I was told that the payment was now going to be made directly to my account. I asked why this had suddenly changed. I wasn’t given an answer. It was at this point that I started to be told that timescales couldn’t be given for PPI refund payments although I was at least informed that if the payment hadn’t been made within 10 working days I should call back. 10 working days later…no payment…phone call made…now no timescale could be given at all.
I have since phoned Lloyds on a monthly basis to find out what’s going on only to be given the same response each time. No timescales, payment will be made to you soon.
So here are my issues:
(1) It’s now been over 12 months since I first made my complaint. Still not resolved.
(2) It has also now been over 6 months since Lloyds wrote to me outlining the payment they would be making to me for refunded PPI. Still no payment received.
(3) If Lloyds had changed my address or altered the payment to DD as requested at the beginning I would have received the payment back in September. They did not and are yet to apologise for this or try to resolve the mistake they made.
I’m at my wits end with this. Lloyds are offering no assistance, no insight into what is going on and on a whole is providing awful customer service. Needless to say once this saga has concluded I shall be switching my banking allegiance.
Oh, and I’ve also written to the Ombudsman outlining (in more detail) all of the above. So far…no response.
Yeesh! Anyone in the same boat/have any advice to give/know of a decent high street bank?
Sorry if I’ve bored anyone!0 -
I had a letter dated the 29th February 2012, stating i would receive a cheque for the refund. I called the number on the letter and they stated i would receive a cheque by the 29th March 2012, I called on Monday to see if a cheque had been sent, and they advised on my records nothing showing!!!! I was really hoping they would have sorted the backlog out and i would not have to be waiting, will give them a chaser call on Friday and see what happens.....0

Hello, this is partly in response to Snowmonster's post but I'm also taking the opportunity to let off a bit of steam!
I claimed for my PPI to be refunded back in June 2011. I waited the 16 weeks and then in September I called Lloyds to enquire on the progress of my claim as I hadn't heard anything from them. I was given the 'we wrote to you, haven't you received the letters? It must be Royal Mail's fault' treatment. It turned out they had written to the last address they had on my old account records (I stopped banking with them in 2002) instead of my current address which I had clearly stated on my claim. Eventually I received my offer letters (correctly addressed) on October 25th.
I've been calling them pretty much every couple of weeks since then, party to chase on progress but mainly because I didn't have any faith in them to send my cheques to the correct address once they finally got around to processing my payment.
On calling them today I wasn't altogether surprised to hear that yes they have sent my cheques, but they were sent to my old address (we moved in 2003!). If I was a betting man I would have put money on this happening.
I am right back to square one now, again waiting my turn for my payment to be processed. Aaargh!0 -

It really is appalling customer service, even if you don't bank with them anymore.
Does this Bank really hope to actually save money with all these delays, I wonder? Do they hope people will forget? Give up? Die? :mad:0 -
