Don't call them! Leave the money as it is and see if they will recognise their own mistake. They will contact you. Otherwise compensation for the hassle.

I got paid twice at end of October. I let them know straight away and was told I would get a letter about repaying the money, 2 months on I have heard nothing.

Money now sitting in a savings acct gaining interest.

Evening. I was paid in december and got up yesterday to discover they had paid a similar (not exactly the same) amount into an old largely inactive joint account I share with my Dad! Seriously !!!!!!???? This account has never even been mentioned before and my payment was paid directly into my own account where the payments had come from.

I'm worried like u Bailey85 that they take the money back from me twice coz obviously I've spent the first lot after recieving confirmation that it was mine (No recalcs lettre just money in the bank) I am not in the position for them to do that!

So Get05up and Bailey85 what are u going to do? Obviously I am not going to touch this money at all coz sadly its not mine.

(I wish it was; they halved my original offer at the time of the recaluclation letter because they "forgot" to take off the amount paid out on my successful claim despite the first offer letter stating they had!)

I shall leave the money on the account and wait until they either deduct the amount or contact me that they want the money back. I had so much hassle, sleepless night, calls and emails that I am not making them aware of their mistake. Let's just see what happens.

well I am the same as u Get05up. It was most definately a very stressful time which was then quite upsetting when they halved the offer at the last minute (yes I know I wasn't entitled to the full amount thay originally said and I suppose I am glad they noticed before they paid it all then demanded half back)

Hi all

I received refund earlier this month direct to bank then I received a Cheq for a slightly different amount , interest diff.. I immediately called them and asked..I have have received this Cheque could you confirm that this is right? The advisor said yes and said happy new year so banked it - will wait to see if it clears but my call would have been logged and that they confirmed it is right so should be alright one presumes?

cheque banked today and not into a Lloyds account !
to all of you still waiting i cannot tell you how much relief you will feel when you finally get that payment
its like a huge weight has been lifted
