Sorry, I'm with the seller here too. You bid to buy. It's a £500 car described as for spairs / repairs and you're quibbling over terms of payment. I'd have said the seller offering to get it MOT'd was very generous, considering it appears that the final price offered reflected it having no MOT. Personally I'd say the seller dodged a bullet on this one, no doubt you'd have found other issues when you went collect.

RELISTED DUE TO A TOTAL AND COMPLTE TIME WASTER THAT PROBABLY TAKES 2 HOURS IN THE MORNING TO CHOOSE WHICH Y FRONTS TO PUT ON,EBAY WOULD BE A MUCH BETTER PLACE WITHOUT THESE PEOPLE!

Looks although you may have upset the seller lol
  • Not at all, I asked if it wud be mot before I placed a bid. I'm not in the business of messing people about, which s why I was asking the questions I was.

Edit - his choice wat he wants to say. But would anyone sed money "blind"? If I'd of had all their details from the start I'd of been more trusting.
  • Q: Do you have any more pictures of the car, inside etc? Also if I was to bid, and win would you mot it (at cost of course)? Regards Marvin
the above question speaks for its self,i was asked to mot the car not to put through a mot and tell him if it fails! i offerd to sort minor faults as i know there are no major faults with the car,i really dont know what else i could of done to help the buyer anymore,i sent my name, address and phone number twice through ebay (have copies in my sent box to prove),buyer told me he would send the deposit but it never arrived,i dont think writting lies on other web sites thinking they wont be seen is a adult way of doing things,i offer the seller to speak to me face to face to sort this problem as it the grown up way to solve problems and not hidding behind a computer screen.

Well isn't the seller a little charmer?

To put that in the auction? Most definitely. Petty snipes at bidders tend to put buyers off.

You should have gone to see the car before the Auction ended, you can ask as many questions as you like but it's no substitute to actually viewing. Possibly, if you had gone to view, the seller would have taken you more seriously and you could have given them the MOT money while you were there.
No seller is going to MOT a car without a commitment from the buyer.

    God what a mess!

I think this is a failure in communication. johnnyBarnes should no way have bid on a car if he wasn't prepared to BUY it in the condition it was described for the amount he bid. That's ebay basics. And always view. Punting a drunken bid in on an unseen ebay car will only end in pain. I have been there.

And the seller really should have MOT'd it pre advertisement, IMO. If it'll fly through than spend the £45 and double the value of the car!

As it is, the buyer is lucky not to have the car and the seller should just scrap it. It looks pretty valueless to me!
