Hope the below helps somebody - This is the official policy from Amazon - (Harry Potter boxset @ £20)

I am writing to follow up to our chat conversation.

However, if your order enters the dispatch process before the release date and the price is lowered on or before the release date, we will automatically refund the difference between the price you were charged and the lowest price between dispatch and release date.
Please rest assured that the difference in amount will be refunded to your payment card with in the next 48 hours. On the date the refund is completed, we'll send you an e-mail message confirming the date, amount and payment details. I got mine in the post yesterday (ordered ages ago) so I should get £5.50 back, when I ordered the Pre Order Price Guarantee (which Froggy-G has posted) was listed on the item/order page. Will let you know when/if I get the email stating this. I am expecting one anyway.

When I bought HP 7.1 in April they put a Price Guarantee refund through the day after the delivery estimate :) So as my set is not expected to arrive until tomorrow I should hear something early next week.

I wish I'd waited before buying them as they came out. I must have spent £100 over the years! As with most films they get cheaper the older they are. £20 is a bargain though, I think I might buy this for my mom.

Hi. can you tell me how you got the 20% off? It doesn't seem to be on the list of available items in the 3 for 2 promotion. Thanks
  • After seeing the pre-order on the MSE weekly email I thought what a bargin, so went ahead and ordered.

As normal the excellent delivery service from Amazon the item arrived today as promised, but when checking the status of another order I noticed the price drop of the Harry Potter boxset.

Went into live chat with customer service on amazon explaining the price change and they are now prcessing the £5.50 refund. There was no mention of this being a one off.

I did inquire if this would have been refunded automatically and was told no as the change in price happened after dispatch.

Hi This is my experience. I pre ordered the set from Tesco Entertainment ages ago for £25 50. I recieved them today with an invoice of £30 ( not impressed lol ). So i phoned them up and he said yes there was a mistake on the invoice and when i mentioned they are £20 now etc he said that when they charge me tomorrow it will say £20. So i ll check my statement online tomorrow and if it hasn t happened i ll get back onto them.
