  • Evening all,

Managed to pot £4 today, £2 for yesterday and another £2 for today.

Had a lovely weekend. Not much to do with Christmas as in shopping!! Still a few more presents to get.

Mum and dad are giving hubby and I money to buy a new stair carpet that we desperately need for Christmas. Went out yesterday and picked one and some new lino for my en- suite. Hall, stairs and landing will look fab as hubby has just given it a lick of paint and glossed ready for the carpet. Will be fitted on the 21st ready for Christmas.:T:T:T

Is it really sad that I am excited about having a new carpet.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Well enough waffle for now.

    See you all tomorrow :)

    hello all

i would really like to join up please, ive read a lot of the posts and the very first posts too of course, lol

just want to clarify i would like to put in any spare money i have, any silver and gold coins, and save up the coppers i find as you guys call it roadkill,

i would like to also add in the pot all the money i save from any special offers that come my way ie , reduced items, whoopsies, 2 for the price of 1 for stuff i normally buy, things like that normally on the bottom of the till receipt tells you what you have saved on that shop so that's what i would also like to save, i find it really theraputic doing my shopping now ,,,,,lmbo

anyway those are my goals sealed pot at the ready have from the weekend already got 5.25 in there as my first entry, but im not going to count just put what i can on a daily basis.

What ive thought also instead of putting in the 1p and 2p get them to at least 20p then exchange it for a shiny 20p and put that in the actual pot, and use the 1p and 2p when buying shopping, That way at the end of the year should only have silver and gold coins, lovely and quicker to count up LOL

have a fun day and i hope ive made sense and please correct me if im doing something wrong,

    cheers and cya laters :j

Found 5p by the self-service in Mr T this morning, then as I was trundling out the door spotted a shiny 1p under the basket trolley :) I must look absolutely barking to all these bankers, but if they're going to throw their money away, I'm going to nab it :)

OH is going to make me a papier mache pot for christmas :T

    Happy potting everybody

  • Morning All,

Cashed up my non sealed pt from last year, anything remaining that wasn't bagable has been put back in my new pot so £14.52 to add and will update with the new every week, until I reach my massive £500 total, it is massive as there was no where near that much in it last year :).

Have DS trained in the art of road kill now so hopefully that will help as he is closer to the floor than I am
