  • Morning everyone - well, another 30p added to the pot which is leftover change from this mornings shopping.

I would love to see some of the paper mache pots that some of you are making! Please could you post a pic when it is done? It may inspire me to make my very own percy (although I am growing rather attached to my masking taped sweet pot and am on a mission to fill it to the top first ).

Anyhow, off to get the slow cooker fired up and peel a ridiculous amount of onions and end up barely being able to see for tears (as I always end up doing when I make french onion soup!!).
  • Not sure if I'll have anything to add to the pot today. When I'm having nsd then it's hard to add stuff to the pot and I'm aiming for another nsd today. My dd owes me £7.09 for something which will go straight into the pot when it arrives.
    Have a good day all.

  • Have given up waiting for my Mater tin to come so I picked a Jelly Bean one up at the pound shop this morning. I needed two last year in the end as they are only small tins so I can use the Mater one once I fill this one.

I did end up spending the tenner my sister gave me, so I have started my new pot off with £7.95. :j

You're all most welcome to join us, maz1964 and Gumpf. It's lovely to have you with us. biggrin.gif Have great fun saving. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 3 of page 1. Please read through post 1as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge.
    * Please pop your number on your sig, it helps so very much

You seem to have your savings sorted, maz, and at least someone's read the all important 1st post!! :j ;)

Well done having already started, Gumpf. :D

    Afternoon skilly and well done.

Hi b_e_g, it's lovely to see that lovely big blue eye back on the thread.

Re the Grand Total, I'm waiting for sparky to contact me over a slight discrepancy before I put it on, so if you're looking in sparks, can you please let me know if you've got my e-mail or have you not been on your computer since you finished work on Saturday? I know you were out yesterday so just wondering.

Afternoon Stressed and good for you with your pig's bounty...yours too I s'pose.

I wish I could find that much when cleaning, quintwins, nobody ever drops anything in our house, certainly not me. :)

Try to contain yourself, jakes-mum...though it really is a very exciting time. Our Christmas tree is up, cards all thankfully done and most of the presents wrapped, so yes, I can understand why you're like it. I'm so looking forward to my pot too!!! :j

Good to hear about your OH making you a pot, kerri...in the shape of a big fat banker???? :rotfl:Ere that's a thought.

That sounds good with your non,sp pot, freshair, darn good your DS is now picking up roadkill. Good lad. :D

BlueCow, why not go to the link on the 1st post that shows how to make papier mache pots, have a mosey around there and you'll see pigs and cows that were made in 2008.

You talking about the onions in your recipe almost made my eyes water all over again after having made a saucepan full of Butternut Squash soup earlier.....that will be delicious, but oh, my eyes!

Don't worry, wannabee_in_credit, you're not the only one having a NSD, I have them 6 days a week. :( Still, at least we're not spending! :grinheart

I thought you had to collect your Mater pot, DorsetGirl? Still, having the 2 will encourage you to fill em.

A beautiful day here so far, but where's the rain?
