Ruth, have you read Martin's isa guide?
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/savings/ISA-guide-savings-without-tax
It might help? Sorry if I'm teaching my gran to suck eggs here
Yeah ive read it but i still dont remember reading anything about if you put money in. Plus, the lady at the bank surely should have asked, if not checked herself to see when i last put money in. I'm writing a letter to complain anyway and going in at the weekend (to a different branch) to see if there is anything i can do.
On a slightly better note she did FINALLY set up my savings account so £200 is now sitting in there from my (not-so)sealed poti'll put the rest in another day as they dont like you taking in loads of bags of change. My 20ps are staying where they are until i spend them or the pot gets full. My pot holds just under £400 in 20ps so i'm a fair way off yet

Red goose can I borrow your idea of potting when you go to the gym? I've just joined C**ves and want to make sure I go regularly!
By all means! I find it means I make use of my gym membership (MSE of a sort).Sealed pot challenger#1677

What do you mean by potting time you go to the gym? That sounds interesting.
Each day that I go to the gym I put a extra pound in my pot (as well as the pound a day that I save not buying a coffee at work).
The extra saving encourages me to go to the gym. Hope this helps.Sealed pot challenger#1677

just potted £10.70!!! WOW but dont get excited.... £7 is my £1 per day for this week
The weather is truely spring like today, have had a pair of blue tits bathing in the bird bath - cutties, and a pair of chaffinches (or is that chaffinch's)?? frogs galore out by the back pond and two sets of blackbirds are nest building.... its gonna be a noisy spring time!
Don't knock it, mishmogs, £10 is still blooming good and worth shouting about - at least I would.Chaffinch or Chaffinches is fine as so often in the birdy world the plural is the same as the singular. Saw and heard a gorgeous Chiffchaff yesterday and have a pair of Great T*ts nesting in a box outside our kitchen window!!! :j Made my day!

Terrific news, nanto3girls!!!!! :T:Tlittle_sweetie wrote: »Doesn't it just make your blood boil, as if hospital parking is a pleasure  Thank you for asking, sue, but poor OH can see even less than before. As they have only done one eye he can't see to read nor can he see the TV now! He can't have a sight test for new glasses until 28th of March then there's a week's wait to get them. As we speak he is trying to remove the right lense of his old specs (the operated eye side) to see if looking through one lense will help  It's a total nightmare and he's getting very stroppyNevermind, things will sort themselves out, I'm sure
That's a rotten shame and must be so frustrating for him, poor chap. A friend of mine's Mum had hers done last year, but the sight was the same ~ until she'd had the 2nd done! Fingers crossed little_sweetie, all may still come right, given time! Meanwhile, I hope removing the right lens may help.
Good to hear Jake's ok and...normal, jakes-mum!
Your Target has now been updated, new leaf 88, all the best with it.
You're sounding so well, aliboy, keep hard at it, exercising too!
Good to hear you've booked your trip to Chicago & NYC, sparky!
A brilliant idea to pop a £1 in the pot when you go to the gym, RedGoose!!!
A £10er in the pot AND a £1 from a trolley at M!rrisons plus 2p DH found on our walk!!!!! :jHave a great day, everyone, keep safe and well and definitely keep saving! :grinheart
