So it's time to let you all in on my "surprise" We're debt free as of 20th January 2012, since August 2011, thanks to all the overtime I've re-paid £9492.02 :j, plus while we were away I also bought my DW a diamond engagement ring, paid cash :D. It's something I've wanted to do for over 21 years as we couldn't afford one when we got engaged.

So there you have it gang

    :j:jWE'RE DEBT FREE :j:j

The next thing to go is the mortgage :)

Hope the wait for the surprise was worth it :)

Oh Sparky that's such fantastic news! I am so happy for you both!

I can understand Mrs Sparky needing tissues 'cos I'm sniffling into one now on her behalf!! It just shows what can be done with dedication, willpower (and road change :rotfl:) You are a true inspiration to us all :A And, yes, the surprise was definitely worth waiting for! Welcome back Sparky and many many congratulations!!:T:T It feels great doesn't it? To be debt-free. Never going back there again. I became mortgage-free last year, which is brilliant. It won't take you long, knowing how committed you are. Good luck, anyway.:)
