Hi not posted in a while......
Henrietta the chicken all back to normal now but still not laying any eggs at mo... could be another week or so before she starts.
Youngest son had blood tests now as they think it may be glandular fever ?? quite a few people in his school being tested for this from what I can gather ???
Have potted over £10 in the last week or so, pot getting very heavy now and about half way up one of those sealed tins you can get from Home Barg*ns - can't wait to open it !!!!
I do often think if I wasn't saving it in the tin, what would I have done with it otherwise !!!??? (don't you??)
Just proves that we can all save and not spend !!!
Haven't found any roadkill lately (boo hoo!) but am keeping my eyes peeled!!
Bye for now peeps and happy potting xx0 -
Moosegoose and 19amytastic welcome to the threadI have got over my roadkill horror and settled down with tea and tv tonight when all my friends are off out on a girls one...... saving up does have its downsides......wine.....I miss you. x
I hate that too! My OH usually buys a few drinks at the weekend as it's still cheaper than going out but I just buy some chocolate because it's even cheaper - but not as fun!
Just dropping in to report pottage of a whopping £4 :j:j:j That may be a personal record but can't be certain

Morning all, damp and dull here today. Been up since 7.15:eek: and on a Saturday! DD1 had to be at school for 8, they are going to Warrington to a music compertition. She wasn't impressed at having to get up.
Well impressed with kids. Yesterday DS gave me 10p change from his dinner money and DD1 gave me the £2 change from the fiver I gave her for her lunch. I also found 40p on the livingroom floor, so all in all £2.50 potted yesterday.:T:T:T
Have a great day and welcome to all the newbies.;)

I am just off to my local tip to see if there are any goodies. Quite often there are things for sale that are well worth buying and then selling on ebay.
Last week I bought a reel of velcroe, baby seat for swimming new in pack and 3 picture frames. All bought for £1. Sold for £11.29 in total excuding postage. Good come back for £1....!3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:

Good Afternoon everyone
We're back home now, arrived yesterday morning, seriously jet lagged and missing New York so much. You won't beleive this but we went to the Rockefeller building and on the way through security I found 1p road change on the floor, who'd have thought you go 3500 miles only to find an English penny
Honestly DW and I had a fantastic time and can't wait to get back there, Sue & LC2 you were both right I did need tissues for my DW for the news I was breaking to her.
So it's time to let you all in on my "surprise" We're debt free as of 20th January 2012, since August 2011, thanks to all the overtime I've re-paid £9492.02 :j, plus while we were away I also bought my DW a diamond engagement ring, paid cash. It's something I've wanted to do for over 21 years as we couldn't afford one when we got engaged.
So there you have it gang
:j:jWE'RE DEBT FREE :j:j
The next thing to go is the mortgage
