  • I need your help. Its not SPC related though so i hope its ok i ask you all.

My OH has just started a new job. Today he was supposed to get paid for 4 days work but has actually been paid over £1000. I'm pretty sure this is incorrect.........

What should we do about it?

    What would you all do?

    Thanks

This is my first week of sealed pot challenge and managed to put in £4.70

Usually i would spend it on coffee but didn't. :j

Most of my sealed pot savings come from not having a frothy coffee, Caroline. Since then I've found that I enjoy my weekly latte much more (and as I'm only having it once a week, I have a "drink-in" with a proper cup and saucer. Much more enjoyable). Keep at it- £4.70 x 48weeks= £225.60! :T

weighed my pot today as I couldnt see anything but a £5 note with the torch :o and it weighs just under 3kg :D

Blimey, jakes-mum- you could use that for weight-lifting (cheaper than the gym- and cheaper than the "pint-weights" I seem to lift a few of)! :T

I'd get onto the payroll department ASAP to get it checked out. While it's their mistake, I think it's best sorted out as soon as you can.

Either that or your OH has a very lucrative job...

Think I'll bank what's in my pot at the weekend. Will probably be needing to have a tidy in my flat soon for viewings and to an untrained eye it probably looks like "clutter"...

Ooh. the only thing you can do i reckon - point it out to the boss and hope it's correct, while knowing that it probably isn't....unless it's a really fabby new job! Good luck with it, and hope OH enjoys the job for many years to come.

DD started her new job today; she's an apprentice so gets paid a pittance but she'll enjoy the work so we'll hang on in there until she's earning decent money and I can ask for some realistic rent :)

In the meantime I potted about £2 yesterday, some of it because the station loo gates were open and I got freebies :rotfl:

Oooooo such a tease Mr Sparky, hope its better than the 'surprise' brown envelopes my DH gives me . . . they always contain his credit card bill, the surprise part being the purchases on it I know nothing about :o

    It's a lot better than that Jakes-mum, honest ;)

    Hello Potters :D!

A lovely 11p from yesterday and today...both found by the hands of the little DD :D...I think she's stolen my 'roadkill hawk eyes' :rotfl: :p :rotfl:...I'm assuming she has, 'cos mine aren't working to well lately .
It's going to be a 'lean' week this week, so I may just be popping in to see how you're all getting on :D. Unless I find some serious roadkill :j, fingers crossed :A, touch the luck penny :D :rotfl: :D.

not potted for awhile now, got £40 for my birthday but am using it to get some extra riding lessons in. On other news, i have paid off my credit card! Yay me! On sad news, i'll be using it end of the week to pay for my cats to be vaccinated, wormed, and deflea-d for their visit to the cattery at the end of march. Oh well!
