Morning everyone
My usual £2 added last night, plus this morning I made a "swap" from DW's purse 2 X 20p coins for a £10 note, I think she won't mind! I also had 11p tea room change to add to the road change pot when I got in last night.
Still a bit cool here, so make sure you all wrap up if you're going out. Stay safe & keep savingSparky0107 - Sealed pot challenge member #002. Total for SPC3 £1,030.57 Total For SPC 4 £2247.00 Total for SPC 5 £2574.62 :T Total for SPC 6 £4552.91:T

Now i'll admit its been a long time since I looked at T*scos giftcards, but last time I did, they did ones with no amounts on them and you asked the cashier for how much you wanted. Then you could add to them whenever you wanted too, I remember someone used to do this each month for their months food shopping money
Oh DS just bounded out of bed this morning, full of beans, so excited . . . you see it snowed last night . . . so obviously that meant a snow day and closed school :j I tried to hide my pleasure when I informed him the school was actually open today and hastily turned my sniggers into a cough as he slouched out the door 15 minutes later dragging his bag :rotfl:SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -
Congratulations Lookingtothefuture :j what great news! Does it feel good being able to say 'the girls' now?hi everyone
think my pot is starting to feel neglected. have to stop using my card to pay for everything, would probably spend lot less if just took cash out once a week then potted what was left at end.
That's what I do: I take £50 out each Monday, pot the left over coins and transfer the value of any leftover notes to my savings account. Why, Why, Why do the these unpractical Teacher's think it's great to get the parent's to go into overdrive on doing stuff everyday when it's the last week of term. If I'd been on this thread at xmas I could have had a right good moan, never mind. Don't get me wrong it's a fantastic school with wonderful teacher's but they do ALOT.
For our Christmas concert we had to make 30 sparkly cloaks for my class :eek: while my friends school told parents where to buy costumes ranging from £12 to £25 . Don't know what the answer is to that one!
Had my follow-up appointment yesterday and everything is great :j:j I was worried they would still want to go ahead with the second stage of the opperation but luckily they think I'm right so I can just moniter my pain and only need it if it returns - I will have absolutely everything crossed hoping that this never happens!
Potted 54p in change, 20p of which I spotted stuck down the side of the self service checkout in Mr Ts. I spent so long gazing at it that OH got fed up and eventually rescued it with the clubcard! He said it was worth it for the smile on my face - how sad am I to be so happy about 20p!!! That brings my roadkill total to 41p :rotfl:"It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living." Then I went around the house and collected every coin I could find - including various jars we've just been throwing change into over time. Counted it all up and have £75.61 to start my official pot off with! Can't believe I had £75 lying around the house with no real purpose for it! I don't tend to spend money during the day as I bring my lunch with me etc - but am going out this weekend so am likely to end up with loads of extra change I can throw in the pot!
