Afternoon everyone
After feeling sick and dizzy all weekend I'm feeling better today so went out with Mum for lunch and she gave me a gorgeous £2 coin!!! I'm really chuffed because I haven't had one in ages, mainly I usually get them in my change from yoga, which I can't do at the moment.
When I gave my card to the lady to pay I was just about to put in my pin and I couldn't remember it! My mind went completely blank! My Mum helpfully explained that I was recovering from a general aneasthetic and hadn't been out of the house in a week and the lady asked if I'd had a labotomy!! Luckily my pin number popped back into my head and we were able to leave. What with that and the fact that I was worried someone would notice that I can't do up the button on my jeans (because one of the incisions on my tummy is underneath it) - I think I may stay in for a few days before venturing into the big wide world again! :rotfl:
Anyway nothing into the whisky bottle today, the £2 will go into my moneybox and I get paid tomorrow so can update my total savings for January soon"It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. Ooooo I was so  this morning as Miss Lily has lost ANOTHER tube of toothpaste, why can't children brush their teeth in the bathroom?? Why do they wander round the rooms with a brush in their mouths and just put stuff down willy nilly?? . . .
Not just mine then jakes mum :rotfl:...The big one doesn't bother, but the little one's like lightning with that toothbrush and paste - if she gets the chance...I'm always scared I'll turn round, and she's expressed herself all over the walls, using the medium of toothpaste and free expression
...

found 1p roadkill today waalking back from the doctors. Yay! Although we may have a disaster, our sewing machine hasnt been sounding healthy at all and we've just had a look and we suspect its seized up. I'm really hoping we wont have to buy a whole new machine, i just have no idea how we could pay for it. I wouldnt even worry about it but we've got several craft projects on the go that require a sewing machine! Plus they're meant as gifts!!Was debt free then ex walked out and COVID hit.0

Evening everyone
My usual £2 potted today, plus about 80p shrapnel "donated" by my DW, also got a £2 coin & 2 X 50p's for the Chicago & New York 2013 spending fund. When I got to work today one of the lads had £3 in silver asking if I wanted to swap it for £ coins, so that's going in the pot when I get home about 01:15 in the morning.

Hi all, one shiny £2 coin plus an extra £1.46 which includes 4p roadkill into the pot tonight. We've decided against the Valentine's Night meal at the local pub. For one, it's at night! :rotfl: We hate going out at night. For two, it's too bl**dy cold and looks to get colder. So that means a lovely £20 to add to the pot.
I'm not going to bother with an ISA to put my SP money in. For 0.25% it's not as good as putting it in the BS account. I'm going to write it all down in a book so we know exactly how much we've saved over the year.
Hugs to everyone.
Keep warm.
