we already had a massive bottle for all our 'shrapnel' so decided to use our sealed pot to collect £2 coins. So now we're only allowed to have £1 coins and 50p coins in our purse/wallet.
We keep mugging each other for change for the bottle & pot
Added £12 to the pot since we started0 -
I have just booked us a holiday; a week self catering in Cornwall in June :j so we have decided (ok then I have decided) that we will try to save as many £2 coins as we can manage in a separate pot for our spending money. DH agrees in principle so we will have to see how often I need to prod him into actually admitting he has a £2 coin in his pocket :rotfl: I might need to frisk him every now and then just to check
who knows I could find a few pennies in there for my SPC too!

A few small ones in to my work tin and some small road kill has landed in my bottle. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

I am from St Ives, there are some lovely beaches here and lots of thrifty places to visit on a budget, be sure to pop into Mr T's and look for the "Flyers" stand, there is one called "For one and all" or something along those lines and it has lots of coupons and discounts for places to visit, I can especially reccomend "Flambards" it's a great small theme park, but has a wonderful inside Victorian Village and also Britain in the Blitz, which is like a small indoor village, I could live there..... Am convinced it comes to life at night, a bit like that film " Night at the museum...:rotfl:Thriftkitten
