    hellooooooooooooooooo all

wow this thread is trucking along nicely,

anyways got to share my best shopping and saving trip yesterday at mr s**y's jamies fave shop lol

got 2 packs of good quality serviettes from exmas leftover stock but not really that christmassy that i can use for other occasions for 20p each

then them aliminimum trays and party plastic bowls and serving bowls they were all 90% off so paid about 27 or 30 p a pack

i totted up my savings and if i had paid full price would have paid 30 pounds just on those items alone so was a very happy bunny as will be used for dd 21st or even dh 50th this year

so i whilst ive saved that i wouldnt have paid full wack in the first place but i will pot away a tenner over the weekend just to justify my savings and my happiness of getting my best bargain so far this year

have a fun day all keep on saving and potting too

  • Oh nice, where have you decided to go in Cornwall?
I am from St Ives, there are some lovely beaches here and lots of thrifty places to visit on a budget, be sure to pop into Mr T's and look for the "Flyers" stand, there is one called "For one and all" or something along those lines and it has lots of coupons and discounts for places to visit, I can especially reccomend "Flambards" it's a great small theme park, but has a wonderful inside Victorian Village and also Britain in the Blitz, which is like a small indoor village, I could live there..... Am convinced it comes to life at night, a bit like that film " Night at the museum...:rotfl:

We're going to St Teath near Camelford to a farm that we've stayed at before. They have a self catering cottage there which is really lovely and it's easy to get to Boscastle, Tintagel etc We do like to explore whilst we're there and St Ives sounds gorgeous (all those coupons :T ) a Victorian village and the Britain in the Blitz thingy is right up my street. Must look it up on the map. Thank you sooo much, it's lovely to get a bit of inside info :)

    Have a brill day!

Has Mr. LC not told you he's going on his own :rotfl::rotfl: The poor man said he needed a rest from the nagging :rotfl::rotfl:

Oh sparky, that was naughty! So, who's he taking then??! :D

I can just see Martin giving us hug buttons somehow, Rosy....or NOT! Whatever will you lot think up next!
Jakes-mum and luckycharlie are very good. Our boss Sue gives them gold stars to prove it.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

No she doesn't mumof3plusoh she gives them one cause they won't shut up!!! Though, jakes-mum did give out a cracking reply to the person questioning the worth of our pot saving the other day, that merited a star, so did LC 2's 'welcoming on posts', but they only get them at such times...in fact they've only had 1 each!!!

I'm managing to put it in a little more perspective at the moment. I'm scared about what they're going to find but really looking forward to a few weeks proper rest, the last few months have been a real struggle.

Try a little more persectivism, ljaneyr, if they do find something they will deal with it - if they don't then you will have worried yourself for nothing. We can't alter things however much we worry...enjoy looking forward to that time off!!! ;)

I do hope your little boy is better today, tizzi, or will be soon, bless him. Hospital parking is terrible, especially nowadays - almost insulting!

All the best in saving for the holiday, little_sweetie, frisking's good......you may even get more than cash! ;)

Lucky you living at St Ives, Thriftkitten, a beautiful place with many lovely areas around it too.

You're doing well, Maz, keep at it as it's doing you good.

You and me both with NSDs, samtoby, not to worry our turn will come.

Naughty indeed, Gap! ....but not regretting it too? Disgraceful or Corrrr! :D

    Very well done indeed, blindtoast!

    morning all

haven't posted for a while but have still been potting away...

found my first roadkill yesterday... a 1p! still every penny's a prisoner!!

slightly off topic but decided to visit Sudbury on the bus yesterday and I hopped on and asked for a return ticket to be told we dont do return tickets and its exact money only and no I dont have any change. hmmm jumped off and a milk man pulled up into the carpark alongside the bus station, I politely tackled him and he helped me out with change so I got back on the bus! OK you're wondering where this is going.... so I got £1.50 for the pot on the way there (change from a £5) and bought some ecloths on offer (which I had been looking for) for the change for the bus to come back and got another £1.50 for the pot
:D:D . Although I took by butties and mince pie with me for lunch I fancied a coffee for a warm and the change of £3.70 also went in the pot. My cat and owl pots are getting heavy.

I dont think I will be staring at the floor to much today as its lagging down out there!!
