  • Morning all! Busy week for me, so not had chance to update my spc total or sig. I'm at £6.02 but I wanted to ask what you think about me putting £40 cash I received for going along to a focus group this week?

I haven't done one before and it was very last minute so Im not sure if it counts as earnings?

I'd like to pot it but want to know what you all think!

Waiting to find my first road kill... You'd think working in London I'd find loads. I think all the pigeons (or othe SPCers) are taking them!!!!

Have a good Friday everyone and here's to the weekend!
    SPC5 #1651 total so far: £78.59

Does Roadkill count if you've dropped it out of your own pocket, then go to pick it up afterwards?? No... didn't think so lol.

Potted another £1.50 last night after bringing my own lunch into work.

It was freezing this morning; absolutly freezing and my Tesco de-icer didn't work. there I was cursing and then I realised my car was frozen inside as well!

Hope everyone is safe; the roads looked very slippery.

Roadkill will be frozen to the pavements!x

I went out with my sister-in-law Ruth yesterday. We were both very good and looked but didn't buy. The only things I bought were some large glasses as 50peach in M & S (four), a birthday card, some screen wash and ground coffee in Poundworld and prunes (I'm an addict) in Lidl. I'm on a low carb diet - lost 20 kilos so far, so prunes are my treat. Paid for Ruth's glasses in M & S on a giftcard (Xmas present) so I went out with £3.50 in cash and came back with a£5 note and £1.50 for the pot.

Ruth always pays for lunch - she and my brother pay higher rate tax between them and she says that she prefers the idea of her taxes keeping me & hubby on our benefits than it going to the wars we're fighting. She asked if I minded being her 'charity case' and I replied that I didn't - it keeps her conscience happy. ;)

  • Am out and about in a bit with the oh. Hopefully the people of Grantham will drop some roadkill today! Havent found any so far.

Best major road kill ive ever found was about 6 years ago I found £50 quid in various notes (on the road with nobody in sight) my oh spotted it, at the time we were mega skint and promptly took our toddler for a day out at skegness. It was meant to be:)

  • I just got back to my desk at work and found a nice shiny 20p on the floor by my chair so that will go in my 20p pot. then found £1 in my back pocket of my jeans. Must of been from taking the trolley back at morrisons so that will go in my pot when i get one.
I am hoping my mummy will let me borrow hers which is the same as my 20p pot and counts the money for you :) it also has some small change in it (most of which i potted last year) so maybe she'll let me borrow that too :) if not i shall be off to b&m at the next available time and hopefully get my own pot from there :)

Hi sparky, so sorry to hear you're feeling so rough, and seriously, I do hope you're feeling very much better soon. Still, better now then in USA soon!!!! :j whoops, sorry, a bit too energetic, try one of these :).
I wanted to ask what you think about me putting £40 cash I received for going along to a focus group this week?

That's ok, sotonsaverjen, it's no different than any other research ie. YouGov, Mystery Shopper, etc. A nice boost to your pot!

NO Delilahh - roadkill does NOT count if you've dropped it out of your own pocket, then go to pick it up afterwards!!!!! Whatever next!

Sounds as though you're right, alliboy, but what a LOSS for the one that dropped it?!!!!!! Though a day out cost you THAT much?!!!!!:eek:

    Well spotted Ruth!!!!!

kkennedy and all others with tins.....to make sure that £1 spent isn't a £1 wasted, get all the money out with a knife when it comes to Nov 29th! :D
A VERY lucky day for hubby & I today. Hubby took our Lab for a walk, on the way back was talking to his mate. After a few minutes John went on and hubby turned round to see something shiny on the verge and 2 x £1 coins just lead there pleading "take us into the warm mister" So, he did and oh, was I ever chuffed with DH & the cash!!!! :kisses2:

All's ok, keepcalmanddrinktea and you don't HAVE to post regularly. Well done with what you've aready got!!
Have a wonderful day all, wrap up warm!
