Hi Sue,
I am new to this challenge, have been using MSE tips for a while but never registered until now.
2012 is going to be a tight one for us, so we need all the help and support we can get.
Please put us down for the SPC. We are going to attempt a paper mache pot this afternoon....
Thank you.

Only 15p in today. I'm keeping the gold ones in case I need them over the weekend. What's left on Sunday evening can go in the pot.0

Not a NSD today as I have to go out for a works leaving do tonight.....on the other hand I am looking forward to actually spending a little money and having a glass of wine. (If you knew me personally you would know wine is my weakness)
Hope everyone has a good friday night - and friday 13th!x3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:

little_sweetie, I paid for my supermarket shop with cash last night- following your suggestion, I thought I’d try it out. It did make me more aware of the amount I was spending.
I can also report a minor success (of the “engage brain and don’t buy stuff” variety): I’d got a pack of tortilla wraps in my trolley but realised when I got to the till that I was already sorted for lunch that week so didn’t buy them- pat on the head (and 70p saved going in the pot)!
Following AlternateMe’s suggestion, I have a big box of Clipper green tea bags on my desk (£1 for 60 (50 plus 20% extra free) in Morrisons- bargain!) to act as an alternative to the coffee filters (with health benefits as well- get in!).Sealed pot challenger#1677

What is green tea like to drink?
It took a little getting used to at first- you drink it without milk so it's not like black tea. I find it fresher-tasting and it makes me feel virtuous (a bit). The one I've got is "Green tea with lemon", but you can get it with lots of different flavourings.
