    I've added about £2 to my pot today although not counting exactly as I am looking forward to the surprise at the end. All coins are going in at the end of the day apart from my coppers. It's such a great idea. I've always saved in money boxes but have been known to dip into it if needed, especially whilst I was a student!

    Hello, can I join too please?

    My hubby's nan and grandad used to do this with an old chocolate tin and then give him the tin to cash everytime he came home from University. It was amazing how much it used to add up to. We already have a little pot in the kitchen where we put all the money that appears in the washing machine - but this one will be my own for the end of the year.
