Good job he didn't mention the war....
Clarkson is a risk-taker, and possibly has no pension scheme!
He probably spends his 'would-have-been' pension contributions on legal fees

I'm sure you're wife has enough time during the 10 weeks holiday plus inset days to post whatever she feels. most of us don't have any time at all during the day, sandwich at the desk and all that.
you let your wife down with that post, should have gone for the early hours of the morning, marking books example works every time.
The poll was from the BBC. Where is your poll or did you make your comments up? Actually she gets 13 weeks holiday not 10. Of course teachers in private schools get about 17 weeks and teach half the children for probably more money.
Let's be honest here most office based people whether private or public do no more than about 4 hours work a day. At my place people take about an hour day for fag breaks and about another hour or so emailing and surfing and good part of the day chatting.
I don't believe in strikes and I doubt the strike will get the public sector anywhere. What I suspect though is that once the changes come in plus the further wage freezes the private sector will this as a way of making their pay packages including pensions even worse than they are now.0 -

The real point is this: 4500 lefties called the beeb. Meanwhile 30m real people agreed with him and didn't bother calling in coz they were working!
Deffo worth the risk lets face it couldn't do much worse than any of them.
A caller into the BBC suggested they should have a "support line" number to put the complaints in relative context."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....
"big business is parasitic, like a mosquito, whereas I prefer the lighter touch, like that of a butterfly. "A butterfly can suck honey from the flower without damaging it," "Arunachalam Muruganantham0 -
if the strike showed one thing, it is that we can cope without a load of people from the public sector. i forgot they were even striking yesterday. only the constant cheer leading of the neutral beeb reminded me.
sack at least 25% now and halve their pensions. grasping scum.0 -

Methinks he doesn't need one."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....

Exactly, but his career could end at any time - that's why his money is better spent on legal advice than on a pension pot

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/3004055/Labour-MP-says-he-would-have-shot-Margaret-Thatcher.html
Looks like Unison may be "shooting" themselves in the foot. Former Labour leadership hopeful and UNISON member last year claimed he would have assasinated Mrs Thatcher:
<H2 style="LINE-HEIGHT: 1.05em; FONT-SIZE: 1.05em" class=padding-bottom-7>LABOUR leadership hopeful John McDonnell said yesterday he would ASSASSINATE Maggie Thatcher if he could go back in time.
The hard-Left MP made his sickening attack on the ex-Tory Premier as he tried to persuade union delegates to back him.
And Mr McDonnell drew loud applause from GMB members at their annual conference in Southport when he told them he was a VICTIM of her government's policies
The article also states that the Labour party refused to comment.0 -

You obviously won't mind how many more times they strike then.0 -
The Unison woman is vile. I'll shoot her*
*OK - don't have a gun/too far away/too lazy/don't believe in murder. But she is still vile. "Inciting hatred" Good grief.0 -
Is this thread supposed to be about the strike itself, or about Clarkson's comments and Unison's reaction?
