Halve the sprouts and fry them cut-side-down in very hot butter so they're almost burnt on one side and almost raw on the other. I despised them until someone cooked them that way, and then they were delicious.0

Aye I used to hate them as well but thats because whenever they were done when I was a kid it was the whole cut a cross in the bottom and boil them to death version of sprouts. Now when I cook them, it's parboil for a minute or two, in one pan, and in the other, saut! some garlic, shallot, chilli and pancetta and then once the sprouts are done, add them to the saut! pan, throw in a tiny bit of wine and let them cook for a few minutes.
Absolutely love sprouts now.It's not easy having a good time. Even smiling makes my face ache.0
