  • Just took a wander to the post office to post ebay parcels and found a lovely shiney 20p looking for a loving home :)

I have placed it in my 'dross jar' where it can make friends with all the other re-homed pennies. :)

Hmmm, Longships, I'm struggling with that one too. Like you, I've had a few small wins but nothing to write home about. I can't really afford to do the lottery, but . . . :undecided Maybe a compromise is needed, one lotto and one euro millions ticket a week/month? I might try that, at the moment I can't quite go cold turkey on the thought that it might be me :D

I made a whole 2 pennies on a survey today. But then I went and spent 896 pennies on food this evening with my friend. I am justifying it as it was for a post break-up moan though!
  • Found 5 pennies today .. in the Phone Box Money Box for you matey!!!

Plus I found a blank 4GB Sandisk flash drive which still works despite looking as if it has been run over by a car :D

I need to make an improvised outer case / shell for it, not sure what to use yet.

    Good Morning,

Just found 21 pennies and a half used book of first class stamps in an old purse :)

My 'dross jar' gets a little bit fuller every day :) and now I don't have to buy stamps to post my Christmas cards :)

  • I started collecting £2 coins about three months ago because a friend of mine told me that she did this, and it was quite addictive. I was moaning to her the other day that I only had about five £2 coins, and she looked at me in disbelief and said "I collect 2p pieces, not £2 coins"!! So that's why she is so addicted! In five days I have "re-homed" ten 2p pieces, and yes, it is addictive!

Oooh today is a good day! 300 pennies in petrol vouchers appeared in the post, hopefully a NSD too, and I am picking up a freezer off freecycle this evening. Things are looking up!
  • Not much today - found two pennies at the self service in Tesco.

As Tesco say "Every Little Helps!" lol :rotfl:

300 pennies winging their merry way from p*yp@l following a survey yesterday however that will not really compensate for the 1975 pennies that I have just spent on an iPad cover today will it?! :o
