A new Co-op opened up on our road today, very exciting. We popped in to give us a little walk and because we needed some bread. They were giving away free loaves of blue Warburtons, and a leaflet with £5 off a £20 shop and £2 off a £10 shop vouchers. I'll try and use them before the beginning of March. Everything is a good bit more expensive, such as baby milk cartons 79p instead of 69p, and tins of baby milk £1 more expensive. I'll have to be careful how to spend my voucher as it could just adjust the prices back to normal price, without actually giving me anything free.

I got £3 Boots vouchers today for doing a survey on fabric conditioner. I also get to keep the fabric conditioner, which I've only used about a quarter of the bottle.

I cooked the chicken tagine recipe for tea, it was very nice. There were a few comments on the website suggesting improvements which I wish I had read before hand!

I'm off to check my bank accounts to see if there is anything for me to transfer.

Edit: Only a small wages account tidy up of £21.43, sig updated.

Had a little earner today in the form of a taste test. All top secret so I'm not allowed to tell you for what. Got paid £10 though! I will go on HSBC and transfer it in a min and update signature.

Did a nice bounce and rhyme group today with Mini-MSE and used the toy library as well.

  • I count a NSD as a day when we don't spend anything on food. We only recently started meal planning and buying everything in one go. Previously we would be in the supermarket every day and end up spending more than we needed to.

  • Forgot to mention earlier that we have managed to get a wardrobe for Mini-MSE from ebay, DH and FIL are just fetching it now. It is £140 from Ikea with £30 delivery, or this person was selling it £85 buy it now in 'perfect' condition. We shall see when it arrives, but I make that to be a saving of at least £55, even more if we count the delivery charge.

  • It was from BBC good food:

Just read the comments first and decide if you want to tweak the recipe or not.

£71.05 spent so far this week... Oh dear! I blame the chicken tagine as it required a lot of chicken and we only got 3 servings out of it. Also we bought some Baileys and Corona yesterday.

I found £1 on the floor by the trollies at B&M yesterday, oh the shame!

I had a coupon through the post for a free pack of Cushelle toilet roll, thanks to the freebies board. Also had my free sample of Elvive oil on Saturday. I love getting my little freebies after I've forgotten about them!
