I have been MIA this week! Went to see Girls Aloud on Wednesday, which was brill! Cheryl is the one you find yourself watching. :T The other evenings I have been busy trying to finish the patchwork quilt that I started approx 3 years ago. It is one of my yearly aims, and now I am motivated again it is progressing nicely.
I had a payment of £1.04 from Quidco (whoop de doo), and also my standing order of £150 has come out. I've had to transfer some of the savings across to the joint account as the money is running out! I'm panicking a bit about money, August seems like a hell of a long time away.
Just updated my MFW2013 Feb payment- £231.
Applied for my second consumer pulse voucher, which arrived yesterday. It seems to be roughly £10 a month, depending on how much we spend, of course.
In other news, I have had my first couple of letters to post for the Royal Mail service (see Freebies). They have sent me 12 first class stamps and 4 large letter stamps.
The meal plan is still going well, I need to go shopping tomorrow to get the stuff for tomorrow and Sunday, so possibly another £10ish spend before the end of the week.
I haven't eaten any chocolate since my hypnotherapy, long may it continue!:jSlow progress is better than no progress.

I've got no idea what the food spend was yesterday and today as my DH has lost the receipts. I've put down £20 as I'm sure it won't be more than that. So that makes this week's spend £54.18. £15.82 added to budget underspend in sig.
Meal plan for this week, hoping to use a bit more freezer stock.
Mon: Freezer meal for me, DH at work until 9
Tues: Pippa Middleton's butternut squash lasagne, soup for me for tea
Weds: Spag bol, soup for me for tea
Thurs: Left over lasagne for lunch, mystery shop for tea
Fri: Salmon en croute from Recipe Rifle blog with veg
Sat: Sarnie for lunch, me eating out for tea. DH curry?
Sun: Mothers day, out for lunch, slow cooked pork
Hopefully by the end my freezer list should be a bit more depleted.

Biggest stupid spend today goes to the papaya I bought for £1.50. I had heard that babies love papaya, so I bought one and to be honest, Mini-MSE ate about 3 spoonfuls and then threw up at hourly intervals throughout the afternoon little bits of papaya. I got hardly any flesh once I had peeled and removed the seeds. She can stick with bananas and pears.
Walked to see my Nan this afternoon. I used 'map my run' app and it told me it was 3.50miles round trip, which took 1 hour and 4 mins and burned 500 calories! :jSlow progress is better than no progress.

Small spend today after visiting B&M for their large tubs of mealworms, but they were out of stock.
The butternut squash lasagne was very nice but pretty labour intensive! It took 2 hours start to finish, which included about 20 mins wrestling with the butternut squash itself. We need some decent knives as the ones we have just get stuck half way. The 2 hours also included a small interlude when I had to feed Mini-MSE as she decided she couldn't wait until it was in the oven.
I posted my first Royal Mail survey item, very exciting.
Also updated my MFiTt2 challenge. Those first three months have whizzed by!
My car looks like it needs new tyres, a service and an MOT all before I go back to work. I sense a new 0% credit card coming on. The thing is that I should be able to pay it off pretty quick once I'm back at work, but I hate the panicky feeling of being quite skint and having big bills. I have the savings to cover it in my overpayments fund, should I just owe myself rather than mess about with credit cards? :undecided
I miss ammonite! Please come back soon!!Slow progress is better than no progress.

I keep wondering if there is a really simple way to prepare one which I have completely missed. I found out from Jamie Oliver that you can use a potato peeler to peel it rather than trying to hack the skin off.Slow progress is better than no progress.

On a lighter note, I have now learned how to chop an onion without it slipping everywhere.:T
Also, we have sold an Amazon book, must find it tomorrow.Slow progress is better than no progress.

You can roast it in chunks without peeling it and eat the lot :j. Not sure it would work in a lasagne. And I peel it with a potato peeler and still end up with chunks of skin missing
