I'm having a free 20 minute consultation on Friday to see if hypnotherapy and NLP will help me stop eating chocolate. I semi- joke about it but it is the main reason I'm 4 stone stone overweight. It is a compulsion to keep eating it, and I'd like to learn some tools to stop it. I get some health insurance through work which will hopefully pay for any further consultations. The practitioner has the same surname as my maiden name, so I think it's a sign.

I have the same with biscuits, if it works let me know as my dad does NLP so I may be able to get a freebie

Lots of fun today as we went swimming for the first time! It is lessons similar to waterbabies, but cheaper and you only pay for 4 at a time instead of 10. Mini-MSE did really well and seemed to be enjoying her little self! We had to dunk them under the water for three seconds which seemed ages, but it didn't bother her :T Hopefully by the end she'll be doing this:

DH had a flat tyre today which was probably caused by a pot hole, as his alloy is knackered as well. Going to cost £96. :(

    2014 MSE overpayments: Mar: £90.44/£105
    2013 overpayment target: £1867/£3060 61%
    MOC savings:
    £34.49
    Grocery challenge underspend: £ 57.76

WW target lost 17/56lb in 14 weeks

Can i ask you about this please? How have you set your overpayment target? by timescale or amount you can pay off? What is MOC savings? and how are you overpaying 2014 already?? Sorry- I'm easily confused!! :) Well done on WW target though :)

  • MOC is money I save by using money off coupons. My overpayment target is £3060 a year or £255 per month. £150 of this is standing order and I have to find an extra £105 by MSE ways. As you can see, I'm way ahead with this.

This target was set as it's affordable and will mean I finish by the time I'm 50!

  • Thank you. He was my first Grandparent to go and I don't think it had sunk in properly until today. It's quite nice to post about it on here as I haven't told many people in real life as I don't want them to make a fuss.

Have you got a diary, Moomi?

Called into B&M and got some pancake stuff and meal worms. Also visited Waitrose for some veg for tomorrow's tea of lasagne. The £11 is a bit of a guess as we chucked the receipts away before I could write it down.

My lovely hairdresser gave me a £5 discount as I had been sent a Christmas card with the discount in, but I left it at home. Added to my MOC total.

I spoke to the hynotherapist about starting therapy to help me stop eating chocolate. I'm really excited about it, can't wait to get going! It will be a combination of NLP, CBT and hypnotherapy. It sounds a bit pathetic to say I'm addicted to eating chocolate, but I am. My conscious mind knows it is bad for me to be overweight, but I have a compulsion to sit there eating it in the evenings. The best thing is that my work health insurance will pay for it! It is £75 a session, and the end of the benefit year is the end of March. The max amount I can claim is £160, so I will be able to get 2 free sessions before the end of March, and then two more when the new year starts in April. To be honest, it will pay for itself pretty quickly even if I wasn't able to claim as I probably spend £2 a day on chocolate, so would pay for a session in a month or so.
Fingers crossed it will work! I've got to keep a food diary for a week before I go.

I used the Foursquare app to get £15 off a £50 spend at Shell here It says it may take two bills before the £15 cashback appears, so I'll keep you posted!

Total spend this week £24.38, £45.62 to last the rest of this week.
