The quidco payment has appeared! So I've updated my sig and transferred into the overpayment account. 10% of next years target reached!
Did some more coupon shopping today. My advice from our experience would be to check all recent feedback. I had a quick look when I ordered them but some buyers leave positive feedback but negative comments ie) that the coupons are obvious copies or don't scan.Slow progress is better than no progress.

Thanks for the tips. Can i ask why you put money into an OP pot for next year instead of just paying it off now? Is it to do with tax/limits on your mortgage? Just nosey:)0

Hi Ecoelle,
My overpayments savings is also my emergency fund until it reaches about 10k, so I have ring fenced it for overpayments as long as we don't need it first! Once I've reached 10k I'll start paying it off directly. I do have a small payment of about £33 that goes towards the mortgage every month to round our monthly mortgage up to £1k. Hopefully even this small amount will be saving me interest while I'm building up my emergency fund!Slow progress is better than no progress.

That makes total sense now. We did this until we reached a savings amount we were happy with, now that sits and earns interest of it's own whilst any extra we have on a monthly basis goes to OP the mortgage.0

Sorry it's been a few days! No coincidence that DH has gone back to work so I'm flying solo for most of the day and getting up for the night feeds, hence not much chance to post!
Thanks to unhappy shopper for alerting me to the fact it's a free listing weekend on eBay- Will relist the items that didn't sell and get organised and put some more on as there is a pile of stuff cluttering up the hall!
I haven't been spending much, been visiting friends and went for a lovely long walk yesterday. Want to lose lbs and gain £s!
It's very tempting to fill my days spending money as I'm finding it a bit boring at the mo as MiniMSE sleeps between feeds still. I'm sure she will keep me busy when she is more wakeful, but it's funny how fast the day goes when divided up into 3 hour segments! I get an hour and a half roughly after feeding, burping and settling down before the next one.
Finally negotiated Halifax's security system to set up the standing order returning the 1k. Does anyone know if the £1k has to stay in the account for a certain length of time?
My MSE activities seem a bit sparse lately, but as I've said before, it's hard to save money when you're not spending it!
By the way, I watched Martin's programme last night and thought he looked mighty fine in that pilot's uniform!Slow progress is better than no progress.

From what I've read, it just needs to appear at all, a few seconds even0 -

I'm finding it tempting to spend money whilst I've been at home more but tried to turn that into money making exploits instead which is why I've joined more survey sites! How is Mini-MSE doing?
Thanks for the update on the coupons and a good tip about feedback being in positive but a negative comment. Will make sure I check if I ever buy again. Some good hauls there for you!0 -
Thanks for the replies, guys!
MiniMSE is doing great, she is a whopping 9lb now. She is very good at night and likes lots of cuddles during the day which is lovely but means I can't get much done if my oh is at work!
Used some more coupons today- coop has dettol spray and comfort on offer, both of which I've got coupons for! So each bottle of comfort was 35p and the spray was 50p a bottle.
I've got a little stockpile in the cupboard under the stairs!
I'm sitting here craving chocolate really bad but thankfully miniMSE is asleep on me and there is no choccy in the house so it would mean getting her into the car seat and going out. Trying to be strong, have managed all week!Slow progress is better than no progress.
