Happy new thread! Better late than never, eh. How did you get to page 5 already?

I've had a quick read through and had a few chuckles. I used the elves watching trick back in the day and my DD says she finally realised she was grown up when she did the same to her son!

I don't think I will watch Who wants to be a millionaire or my blood pressure will probably shoot through the roof.

I might add selling drugs to my portfolio of money earning activities. Will think on.

Welcome to all new posters and returners. Remember it's all about baby steps. Just one little thing at a time and remember to be kind to yourself. You are so worth it, even if you can't see it at the moment.
But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?
• Good Morning Matrix... wow, we really can talk can't we?! :D Welcome to the Newbies and hello to the old hands!

MG and FW, I remember reading somewhere about a lady who became a millionaire by starting a business and becoming incredibly successful, and instead of buying a big house in the country for her and her children and walling everyone else out, she bought the big house and invited her friends and family to live with her. They all have individual flats and houses in the grounds, but they have an allotment and chickens and provide food for the community and they all come together to eat meals in a communal dining room. Everyone goes out to work, or stays home and helps the community, or whatever they want to do, but the money goes into a central pot and is divvied up as people require it. It seems an excellent way of doing things! I am up for a Matrix mansion! As long as we can have cats and dogs and chickens and guinea pigs and such like. :D

Right... got a full day of work and I really need to get on with it all. :D Nose to the grindstone! Have a great one ladies.

Congrats to all the exam passes and stuff -

AND A HUGE BIG THANKYOU TO THE MATRIXETTES!!!!! - esp Souk when I translated "bahookie" for Mr B.

Let me back-track ................

Mr B - being who Mr B is, and having seen me speak has always kind of assumed that the majority of my future wealth will come from the ability I have to hold and motivate a live audience. Fair enough:o

But for the last year or so we have had several "knock 'em down and slug 'em out" - erm! discussions about what that means.

He sees the "Amway" delivery - and no doubt I could do that. I know enough about stagecraft, synatx, N.L.P and psychology - I "could" deliver that - thing is I DON'T WANT TO

I see the UK / recesssion / female market as entirely different to the 90's American Rara!!

You guys know me - getting debt free and back on my feet was NOT and overight process. I am not an overnight success - you have been with me every stumble, every set-back and every success ...................... but I can honestly put my hand on my heart and say that when ready / inspired to do so anyone could follow in my footsteps and get the same result.

But I am a Scot - I like the focus to be practical, about action, about "Gettin aff yer bahookie" - not just wishing. American Personal Dvelopment - whilst I love reading it I pick and choose the tools I need.

My idea was about a bit of motivation (sure cos otherwise peeps wouldn't engage) but to make it so "baby-step" so practical, so "common-sense" that the process is a joined up one from training, to manual, to support afterwards. NO leaving people hanging at then end and then convinced they need one more seminar to join up the dots.

So you can see why "seminars" have been off the radar for a while :D

After reading you guys he FINALLY GOT IT!!! The basic pyschology of Brits v Americans are different and I think your frank reactions really hit home. Not that either way is better, just different IYSWIM.

Thank you all for helping me "find the words" - now we can move onwards.

BTW - he has actually asked where MG Manor is going to be - and whether I have a property in mind :rotfl: Can you really imagine us all together???

• Morning :) Thank you Buffy for sending the book, will try and get my teeth into it over the weekend.

I think I just ate a frog :undecided - I did something simple that I've been putting off all week because it involved making a phonecall rather than sending an email. Of course it was fine and the lady was very friendly and helpful. Silly eh? Am I on the right track?

Morning All. Interesting discussion - I'm definately on board on this one. When I PM'd MG about 6 months ago, everything was in a mess and I didn't know where to start. Her best bit of advice was start with where you are today. I spent ages working out where today was and then formulated a 6 month plan - that 6 months is now up and I am about to check how far I've got and then do the next 6 months. Everything is now under control and am much more positive - it's been hard work but baby steps have meant it's possible.:j

On this note I think that last night I took positive thinking a step too far:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
My kitchen went on self destruct mode:eek: 2 shelves containing my glasses and glass dishes and jugs came off the wall:eek:No reason or explanation for it and they have been there 9 years. I somehow managed to save my crystal wine glasses and everything that I use and love. All that broke was things I don't use /like much. Whilst dripping blood everywhere and ankle deep in glass and orange juice I turn to OH and say " Oh well, they were going to have to come down in the new year when the kitchen was done and I was going to have to decide what to keep - has saved me a job!":rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:He wandered off looking just slightly bemused.
