Not much to report, doing some thinking. Again :rotfl:
Was just pondering the concept of what MOAM said about advent and what do I long for. Ages ago I'd written in my little journal what I want my perfect day to be. After Christmas it's looking pretty close :eek: but where I fall down is action :o I say there aren't enough hours in the day but if I am honest I am not working "smart" :o too much procrastination, lack of impetus, confidence etc and too much time spent online :o:o so if my perfect day is to work then I need to meet my side of the deal.
here goes. Sadly not today as plans have been scuppered by DS having a 4th lengthy nosebleed of the week at school. Trundle off to the Drs to find out what's going on :(

Robsmum I hope your injuries are healing! That sounds like an amazing act of fate though.

Bitsy Beans I'm the same with the procrastination/lack of impetus. When I get going I can do great things.. but I need to seize the bull by the horns and do whatever it is the moment I think of it. If I delay at all, that's it. I've missed so many deadlines for job applications this way. Fear of failure I suppose.

Yes Tete, that is exactly right. FW read the book and she recommends lining up the frogs and eating them first thing, before email checking or anything (although I am yet to master that one :o). She also has 3 main things on her to-do list. You can check back on her diary if you're interested here.

Now that just makes the point that FW made exactly - she had a plan, did whatever it took to get herself to where she needed to be, was ultra-prepared and the TOOK ACTION:j:j

She didn't sell the sofa to sit at the back of the room - she was there and she was ready.

BTW the real hero of the sorry - her Mum. Not only supported her daughter but challenged her to take the action required.

Robsmum - I remember your PM - and thank you for reminding me of the absolute truth. WE have to start from where we are. We may have HUGE dreams but we have to start from now, from the reality of this moment.

When things become more stable we start creating a compelling future that pulls us forwards (this is where I am right now) - but the mentors tried to get me to be in the place I am NOW this time LAST YEAR and it rally wasn't right. Its a process, an evolution and its not Get Rich Quick - but you do get there eventually. I am grateful I wasn't pulled any further into their plans last year - although I am now ready for the challenge.

Robsmum - I can't wait until you share how many of your goals you have achieved in the last 6 months ................ because that is the real success of the Matrix. Not "Razzle dazzle" but gentle tweaking, cajoling, positive reinforcement and positive thinking,bahookie-booting and PROGRESS ( even if only in teeny baby steps to begin with)

Me - well 6 months ago I stated I wanted to be debt free with 1% of the mortgage paid off. I am there a month early and things are beginning to snowball forward - but unlike this time last year I am now ready and "educated" enough to make some bigger goals moving forward.

Sorry this has turned into a ramble - it's just I love what we can all do together.

    Hello gang

I have been missing in action again. Tuesday was my birthday and I reached the ripe young age of 50 (I have been told that I look as though I am 10 years younger:cool:) so I didnt do much. I did however wash the duvet cover and hung it in the living room to dry whilst I vegged on the sofa.

Yesterday was eye hospital day which meant two bus trips, I arrived at 10am for my 10.15am appointment to be told I was late for my field vision test appointment - what appointment I never had a letter:mad: I was already quite grumpy by the time I arrived at the hospital because I had to face 50 fairly hostile pickets (funnily enough none were hospital employees and all were unison employees). The eejits would not get out of my way even though I asked politely and I got jostled - if they had shoved that tv camera in my face they would have found it stuck where the sun don't shine:mad: I was expecting to do some work in the afternoon but I didnt get back from the hospital until 14.18 and as I had had dilating drops put in - I fell asleep on the sofa. Slept in this morning too.

I have knocked the free training on the head for a while because the company have changed their system and instead of issuing daysaver bus tickets each day to be used for the next (these are scratch card types) they have decided that each person spend £3.60 per day on tickets and then go in on a Friday morning to get a cash refund. Unfortunately, I don't want to be spending £18 a week on bus tickets as it is inconvenient for me to go in on a Friday morning to get a refund. I may be on the dole but I have to look for jobs and look at ways of increasing my income not spending it on flippin bus fares:mad:

Today, I have done some washing up, moved some boxes of wedding stuff from my bedroom into a crate which is located in my front bedroom. I have also paid some bills including full and final settlement to one of my creditors so that is £45.40 paid - I felt particularly bad about this one because it is a charitable organisation anyway but as I don't need to buy petrol this month, this is the petrol money that I would have spent. I actually feel pleased that this has now been paid. Bully boy is getting £1:D

I am doing my housework in 15 minute bursts.

As we are talking about millionaires - I know a few who have made their money off the backs of seminars and charging people extortionate amounts for business coaching. I have been thinking about aloe products but don't really want to buy a starter box just yet. I went to one of their success days (thankfully someone bought me a ticket), they were very much into rewarding folks with medals and flowers because they had sold so many case loads. They are all about building a team of sellers and you earn commission off the backs of those people and off the stuff you sell yourself. I found out that you have to attend all their training seminars and initially thought that these were free but you have to pay. Considering they bang on about people who are short of cash being able to make money - they sure do want you to spend it!

Dont know if I've just had a light bulb moment, but after reading what I posted yesterday and all the ensuing posts. I've realised that right now is exactly where I want to be, have always hankered for the simple life, and too much over thinking creates problems in moving forward.

The simplest strategy of taking things as they come is actually what works best for me, this, injected with positivity, gratitude, believing in myself a little more (confidence), is moving me forward at exactly the right pace. And for now, anyway, I can live with that x

I had a thought earlier when reading the posts about the writing an ebook. I'm sure there's a long discussion to be had about charging what you are worth, rather than what you think you are worth. Also, the discussion needs to be about what people perceive as a good price for whatever it is you're selling. Does part of your audience think that if something is too cheap, it won't work and expect to pay a premium?

MG and FW, I remember reading somewhere about a lady who became a millionaire by starting a business and becoming incredibly successful, and instead of buying a big house in the country for her and her children and walling everyone else out, she bought the big house and invited her friends and family to live with her. They all have individual flats and houses in the grounds, but they have an allotment and chickens and provide food for the community and they all come together to eat meals in a communal dining room. Everyone goes out to work, or stays home and helps the community, or whatever they want to do, but the money goes into a central pot and is divvied up as people require it. It seems an excellent way of doing things! I am up for a Matrix mansion! As long as we can have cats and dogs and chickens and guinea pigs and such like. :D

You all realise that this doesn't have to be a dream: I have land in overseas' lands! It may be more realistic than we think. There has to be some division of labour and I shall be out of growing anything - better for everyone concerned.

I have often thought communal living has much to recommend it, provided everyone has their own space. There are economies of scale and savings to be made from common use of high cost items - e.g. having a communal laundry and sharing maintenance costs. Not quite sure how the American condominiums work, but love the idea of a Matrix mansion. And company with like minded people with common values etc.

    http://www.diggersanddreamers.org.uk/

This site lists intentional communites, co-housing etc. in the UK, haven't looked at it for a while - off to have a wee browse around.
If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.
