    :rotfl: yes recipe please

............. and I am someone's sucker list - three calls in the last hour re PPI.

I regularly get these. The automated ones.

"But you can do that for nothing ............. well for the cost of a stamp!!!" I thought.

I spoke to one of these guys, he asked me if I knew I could claim it all back, I said yes, I am doing it by myself. Then he said why, when we can do it for you? I said I am using money saving expert, have you heard of it? Yes he says, BUT we can do it for you... blah, blah.

I said no, it is ok, I am using MSE and he started shouting at me! :rotfl:

So I said I have to go, have a nice day, bye!

I ordered one of the special offer plants from Thompson and Morgan for my daughter. It did arrive but like you, I was disappointed with the state of it!

    Tenmah,

If she's had it for less than 14 days, try phoning their customer helpline (0844 573 6011). The card which comes with the plant promises "100% Customer Satisfaction Guarantee". They'll either replace or refund if there is any damage to the plant, or "it doesn't meet your expectations for any reason". (To be fair, they didn't quibble about this when I phoned this morning, so I'm guessing they may had a fair number of complaints.)

I got to speak to the MD's PA this afternoon. She seemed sympathetic & was going to talk to him in the morning. Fingers crossed!

Big day today - went to see my olds and came back £20 better off, nice crimbo pressie :).

Bad news that we are £450 overdrawn (for no good reason) and mostly down to DH. He was a captive audience in the car for 2 hours so we quietly (not so loud the kids could hear) discussed how carp he is with money and how he/we/I would be better off if he had a limited amount of actual cash for petrol and work related expenses - he has to pay out for stuff for people h works with but then gets expenses back same or next day. He has agreed that this is a good idea so NOW I have his cashcard and NOW we can get things back on an even keel. :j I feel a load lighter and so relieved that we have actually reached some kind of agreement that will suit him and me and also mean we can make our long term finances more secure.
    Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly

Sorry to hear that Dora, but hopefully it will result in real change over the next few months. December is such a nightmare month for money overall (well for me anyways :o)

Bit of a weird day, not very productive. Not feeling very festive at all, more like an overboiled pot of brussels!

Wow Dora - I know its been a long time brewing but fingers crossed that he is close to his LBM.

DS2 is late up this morning - my fault I suppose:o Last night the local Rotary Club toured the streets with Santa on the bag of a truck covered with lights and playing Christmas music. So I had him out in the street, wrapped in a blanket watching the procession.

So it now super duper excited that Santa will come and visit and it took him ages to settle.

Had a funny dream last night - about a theatre I don't recognise and have never worked in - and a man I have never met (I am fairly certain) but had incredibly strong feelings that I knew very well.

I would write this off usually - but I have dreamed about this place and this man before and it has left me feeling rather unsettled for some reason (no logical reason you understand).

    Its a puzzle:)
