    Thank you Horace :)

the Director has already agreed to give them a disciplinary warning, which is going on record, as they shouted at a Director too, who complained too.

unfortunately the mess in my house, means they cannot sleep in the bedroom or eat at the dinner table, so need to shift my derriere and get it tidy. Doesn't help they are all OCD about their places, ie, you are scared to walk anyway, sit anyway, put anything down anywhere!

as someone said to me today, my house is a home not a house!
If it bothers them so much, maybe they can help? Sounds like you have a lot on your plate, so just make a path from the door to the bed, and leave the bedding on there for them to make it up. They can take you out to eat if they don't want to help you clear the table.

(((((hugs))))) for Aesop and apologies for introducing 'meh' to matrixey type ladies. Today has been wet, but in the right direction so my classroom stayed dry (but the hall was wet!)

Dd is 'cooking' toast and has made a brew so am snuggled under a blanket on sofa enjoying spring. Have mega loads to do but a plan of action and an ipod full of music to accompany it so should be able to welly on through it.

hmm trying to remember if black screen is terminal or blue screen.

If you purchased it from somewhere as second hand, ie a computer shop as a refurbished item, they should have some kind of guarantee on it MG. Maybe only 3 months or maybe 6 months.

Saw on freecycle today our moderator ( she is very strict!) is offering a broken laptop. have asked her for it, but not sure she will give it to me. I want to see what is broken about it, and if I can fix it or take out the DVD drive and put in mine. As mine has been broken for 2 years.

As for the house... table clear, but everything has been hidden in cupboard of doom which is not good.

had a thought, I am sick of trying to sell stuff, some I have been trying for 2 years, it is not shifting. So have asked friend to come round tomorrow to give me a hand, and it is going to charity shop first thing in morning. it is my favourite CS, as it is a hospice one, so very worthwhile donating my items to them.

I have some handtowels brand new that were glitch items many years ago, took what I need for my home and will give friend the rest. She needs a tumble dryer as hers has broke. And yes, I don't have one, I agree with eco style, but she has a very large family with young ones, so washing doesn't dry very well in the house, fine when weather good for outside. so trying to help her source a second hand one too.

But lots and lots of bags will go to CS tomorrow and items that have to be carried there. Luckily I don't live too far. As we will be walking.

In one way it makes me sad, as I did want to try to sell the items to raise money for bills, but it is cluttering my house and not getting sold, and it is making me stressed. So if it goes to a worthwhile charity, at least the money will be well spent.

And then can concentrate on clearing my cupboard of doom too.

Thank you for hugs everybody, much, much, muchly appreciated.

In laws will be here tomorrow and don't even start about having dinner out with them! there is a whole other story about FIl not eating after 3pm!

thank you for listening ladies :)

Aesop - I think you've made the right decision. You need the clutter out of the way, so CS it, give it to friends etc, and then you can ebay bits and pieces as they become surplus to requirements in the future. But if you have too much clutter it becomes impossible.

I'm always horrified by how much money I've wasted on stuff I no longer want/need, but have to accept that I don't have time to ebay (I'm still working on something with a US colleague right now... there is no time for ebay.

My OH always talks about the BSOD = blue screen of death - so maybe all is not lost MG ??? But I know nothing about computers:D

Aesop decluttering is good for the soul - I plan a little declutter this weekend

There was a rare break in the clouds today when I got home so I thought I would have a wander around the garden - don't seem to have got out there much in the last 2 weeks! I sat in my favourite spot albeit a bit damp, in a patch of spring sunshine and enjoyed what I could see. Everywhere I looked the garden sparkled having been frequently drenched with April showers this week. Its a patchwork of fresh, vibrant, youthful greens - a sight to soothe tired eyes and zinging nerves. Its my favourite time of year in the garden - the anticipation and a promise of things to come:)
Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi :o

Blue screen is dead... black screen sounds like the battery might have died. Try taking it out and plugging in the power cable without it. Lots of other potential solutions, but without knowing make/model/age etc it's a bit difficult to tell

I think blue screen means it needs to be rebuilt. black screen might just be a glitch.

ah but Igamogam, you are my ebay buddy ;) they will be shocked on the thread that I gave away rather than selling :rotfl:

My garden has lovely colours too but unfortunately grass growing on paving stone and weeds and bindweed :( when it stops raining will try to fix garden.
