  • Just found an old book of Alvin Hall's "What not to spend" and had leaf through, nothing new really but his quirky writing style appeals....and if anyone else would like it please shout, otherwise its joining the CS bag.

Been hard at work clearing my guest room, notice clearing not tidying! Quite a lot is going out (its a bit of a dumping ground), and the Ebay pile is sorted and will be listed shortly. I've challenged DH to help clear this room and the loft by summer so we can redecorate it and he's agreed. Hopefully we'll make some pennies along the way to pay off some debt too.

I will have a less cluttered house, and soon..

Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

  • Ooooo the sun is out - I am so looking forward to doing some gardening tomorrow - is that a bit sad!

I have become my mother! Oh dear!

Not at all. Unfortunately I won't be able to fit any in as I have to get my hair cut and coloured before my trip, finish cooking to freeze all the food I optimistically bought, get the house vaguely clean, pack and be ready to leave the house by 9am on Sunday...

slight problem with my fitness to work cert - although she's put down the workplace adjustments, she's ticked the wrong box, and signed me off for 6 weeks. I'm not taking that to work as they'll see it as a licence to stop paying me as soon as they can... waiting for a new one, but I need it today as I'm away all next week!

Mumsiemum - I love cycling but am terrified of the roads, so will only cycle in the park. haven't had a bicycle for years, and for this reason am put off getting one.

I know exactly what you mean. I am having cycle training (2 sessions of an hour each - one to one) which is free from the local council. My sister put me on to it - she cycles into London  and her council did the training too. I asked for lessons on cycling in traffic and I've learnt so much about staying safe. Unfortunatley we can't prepare for some vehicle drivers but I guess its a start. We are lucky to live very close to the Bristol to Bath cycle track so car free cycling!

Anyway on to my next task of sorting out all my beans and pulses - aiming to use them up asap.

I cannot wait to get my hands on a garden so it isn't sad. Maybe I will offer services to my mum as her garden is huge.

I think I turned into my mother when I espied a young student with his trousers half way down his backside giving him the John Wayne swagger and I wanted to immediately yank them up:eek:

Well, I told you before - there is a website called The Real Cougar Woman. Have a look - I like it. Without it I don't have enough imagination for toy-boys and powrful motorbikes :).

Scary scary scary woman - mind you I am going off to look.

Now serious head on - I had a PM today - a brilliant PM that I think I would like to put up on the blog as it really cuts to the chase IYSWIM.

Problem is - the lady that PM'd me has a full in-box and I can't get a PM to her to get permission - she is also a lurker rather than a chatter (mores the pity BTW) - so here is my plea seeing as I don't want to "out" her LOL

Can I use your PM please?
