Woke up this morning to another fence panel gone! That makes three in total and instead of a lovely enclosed garden, it is open to anyone who walks past :(

Had real trouble getting up this morning, I am normally at work at 8am but not today. My daughter had an awful time last time with her pain levels so I was awake with her at 4am feeling so bad because there was nothing I could do to help her.

I suppose I had better get moving as I have a meeting this morning and can't remember what time it is, so it could well be starting now

  • claudiac, no wonder you were scared. I've some damage but not quite that bad - the garden shed door has gone, and a piece of finish has come off the eaves outside - but is pvc replacement and under guarantee so no nasty bill. The garden shed is so dilapidated it hasn't been mentioned on the house sale particulars, so no tears lost over that.

In fact, a friend is coming to help me gut the garage next weekend so that the contents of the shed (that are worth keeping LOL - it's another Michael McIntyre mess!) can be moved in there. Then the shed, which is crumbling in several areas, (I reckon was installed when the house was built, ie about 40 years ago), can be offered on freegle for firewood. Quite happy for someone to come along with axe & chainsaw and cart it away!

But today's task is to finish gutting the kitchen - not much left to do, hurray!
If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.
