We have not long moved house and I was always going to buy a dressing table and the new bathroom cupboard...infact there will be less hiding space hence I need to sort everything a bit tidier! Also giving my mum a couple of part used perfumes as she has none and can't afford them:(
That's very kind of you: is there anything else you have an excess of that you could donate to her? Not only would it decrease your stash but you get to help your mum out and shine your halo! :APlease call me 'Pickle'

:(:(:((not about pressies!)
{{HUGS}} Hope all is OK nowYou're not the only one. OH and I had a blazer of a row at about 11pm Xmas Day Night! All is ok now - sort of - but we've vowed to try to spend xmas with other people next year as we've spent the last three as just the two of us (and the dogs
) and after the Doctor Who special I may as well be on my own as he falls asleep -too much food & booze.

That's what I want to do :T MIL has offered to teach me but we never get to visit without hoards of people around and I would feel guilty dragging her away from them. This year though! I need something to keep my hands occupied - it's either smoke or eat and since I quit smoking its just eat
I have some (:rotfl:) xmas IN's :
My SS gifty - fab organic eyeliner, a No7 Gloss in the perfect colour and a gorgeous NV that matches the top my mum bought mevery pleased thank you :T
BS: Spiced Vanilla Handcream & Lipbalm
White Stuff: Cherry Lipbalm
Gok Gorgeous: Mini's Gift Set - bought purely for the hand balm - this stuff is amazing!
S&G: The OOTW set (which I already mentioned)
The Mini Case set - the one with the brush
The Box with the Shower cap
Champneys Cleansing/Moisturising Gift Set
Lush 'Cinders' Bath Bomb. OH said he chose this one because it had popping candy in it - and then stood in the bathroom giggling as it fizzed and popped - so not sure this was really for me :rotfl:
We have xmas with DD this saturday and I know she has got me a Lush 'Xmas Pud' Bath Bomb (I was with her when she bought it) so I will declare it now.
I also succumbed to the S&G Tin with Apron (I agree with xoxo ... Apron?) in the sales when I saw one in our small town store. Very suprised to see any S&G and still have enough in points to stock up with 2012 gifts in the 75% sale so treated myself
I may also treat myself to another Gok Mini's set if they have any just for the hand balm.
All in all lots but less than usualOut of all the S&G there is probably 3 or 4 things I will never use (Flake Away ... :rotfl:) but I will make up a gift set of these for one or two of the teenage nieces so they wont be wasted
'OH' complained to l'occitane about the attitude of the SA when he went in to get the freebie just before xmas - she was beyond rude  and he got a reply on xmas eve apologising and asking for his address so they can send him a free gift to apologise. I will let you know what it is when it arrives
I have a couple of UU's:
BS Rainforest Conditioner: WIBA? Nope - did nothing for me, was a nightmare to get out of the bottle and my hair has felt a bit dry while using it. I've been alternating with another conditioner but I still needed to use lots to get any benefit
Lush 'Cinders' Bath Bomb: WIBA? See above - may buy for OH if there are any left in the sale :rotfl:
S&G Hand Food: WIBA? Got at least 2 for xmas - but I do like it
Not really looking forward to doing it all again on Saturday so we are attempting to make it more fun by buying some extra pressies for ourselves in the sales so it isn't just a DD pressie opening-Fest.
Hope everyone is well and not too burnt out :cool:0 -
I'm avoiding temptation in the sales, there is nothing I need. Literally. I still haven't used the moisturisers I got for Christmas last year - both unopened, both Olay. This is due to my having been on a few trials this year, at the moment I'm using up the moisturisers I was sent to trial by Clix, both of them are really good. I wish I knew what they were.
Sarah*a, I'm a fairly useless knitter, but I did manage to teach myself from books I borrowed from the library. As I type this, there's a programme on Radio 4, featuring the women of NE Scotland who knitted ganseys for their menfolk on crofts and particularly out fishing at sea - very interesting.
When I desperately needed something to do to keep occupied when my marriage broke up I completed a large wool tapestry. It was an Aldi Special Offer bought out in Germany and it kept me sane. Cross-stitch appeals to many, I might get around to picking that up again sometime.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Was very surprised to see just how much stuff there was in Lush, boxing day was wasted refreshing their site for no reason!
I agree! I went to the Covent Garden branch yesterday after work, which is normally pretty busy, and there was quite a bit left, including two of the huge Christmas hatboxes which have all the Christmas specials in them. I think a lot of people went for my usual tactic which is ignore the gifts and pick up all the specials individually.
I was good and didn't buy anything thoughThat must be the first time in years I haven't made any purchases in the Lush sale, I feel quite proud of myself!

And it's the first time in years I've spent in it!:rotfl: I usually get my Snow Fairy supply for xmas but not this year so had to get it myself - I can't go a whole year without it:o Oops:D
Oooh, i've ordered one of these from Boots, is it nice?
I haven't used any yet but i'm not convinced on the smell. Think it'll end up in my gift pile. I prefer sweeter smelling things though so that's probably why I don't like it much:oI also succumbed to the S&G Tin with Apron (I agree with xoxo ... Both of our boots had loads of the S&G xmas stuff which was quite surprising. Doubt there will be any still around for the 75% though:rotfl: Still don't really understand the apron :rotfl:
