Right, some advice from all you lovely peeps needed

I recently (for the last month or so) dug out my Redken All Soft hair set that has been languishing in my cupboard. I have been trying other things on my hair in the past few months, mostly Aveda which I thought I loved but perhaps not so much, and a few high street - Elvive etc.

I've been a bit fed up with my hair this year as it seems to have gone very dull and generally not inspiring. Since using Redken again - not every wash - perhaps every other and with the masque once a week - it has massively perked up - it once again has a shine to it and feels like it's getting back to the condition it used to be in. Even the ends look in better condition (and I've not had it cut yet although it needs it).

So, I am thinking that if Redken seems to agree with my hair in this way, it's worth an investment, right? I've been savvy and scoured the internet for the cheapest deal - and have found a couple of people on ebay who look above board and have excellent feedback who sell the 1 litre bottles, shampoo and conditioner for around £45 combined. If I were to buy the standard sizes (300ml shampoo & 250ml conditioner) then the equivalent amount would be around £70.

Sooooo, it's a decent product that delivers results, and I've found it at a good price. Have I convinced you all to give me permission to buy it yet? :rotfl:All good so far...

I'm torn. I have enough hair products to last me about 4 years, technically. But I like that the Redken stuff works for me... If I were to get some I would alternate it with the other stuff so everything would eventually be used up....

Ho hum. I think I know that I need to use up some of the other stuff first before I consider purchasing more.. but it's so hard when it's made such a difference to my hair!!!

What would you guys do??

Flirtini - If it makes such a huge difference to your hair I would go for it :j You can always UU your other shampoo & conditioners in other ways but there's no point being unhappy with your hair if you know there's a solution out there!

INs from yesterday - Pantene samples
UU - pantene samples (v. thick hair so they didn't last long ) - I didn't buy these but they were very good so i'd probably not rule out buying pantene in the future.

Hmm, tricky one - could you alternate products?e.g. Redken one wash, something else from stash the next ?

Would definitely do this - I do want to get the stash down to acceptable levels!

That's what I've been doing for the last month - Have alternated pretty much 1 wash with Redken to 1 or 2 washes with either Elvive or Aveda to use them up as my splutterers. There was no difference in my hair with using either elvive or aveda on their own previously, but even using the redken every other/few washes has made a difference. Although I have been using the intensive conditioner once a week, so maybe that may be more responsible...

Still, another litre of each in one go is a lot!!

Flirtini, if it's making that much of a difference to your hair, you know what you need to do. Just keep alternating it with your stash products too so that you can get them down.

I sympathise with the hair issues...and that's WAY cheaper than the Kerastase I was buying!

Is any of the other stuff (that you know is no good) unused. Could you sell that on Ebay to recoup some of the money you will spend on the Redken shampoo?

[I too resisted the 50% BS online offer, but I do have 1 In, from BS using the birthday card (kind of naughty but have several LYB cards when they were doing an offer with free shower gel ) got a large hemp hand cream which was down to £5 for used my card for that. Love this stuff and excellent at this time of year.
No more INs, I have avoided Boots so no idea what their offer of the week is this week.
Struggling to find OH a Christmas present and it's his birthday at new year so need to find 2 presents. He's quite gadgety but always buys himself the latest toy so can't think of anything else :cool:
