You will cope, it is the maternal thing, financially it will be hard as you say but you can cut back and there is always charity shops, car boot sales, jumble sales, helpful neighbours/family that can knit the odd thing or buy a few bits and bobs, there is the library for kiddies books, gumtree, ebay, swap shops, toy trades, all sorts, it will be a challenge but hey congratulations:j:j

This bugs me - "fewer children" not "less"!

No method of contraception is totally reliable, and the most reliable methods often have contra-indications.
And as I'm sure someone will want to say "what about abstinence?" the answer is that it is one of the most unreliable - you know, human beings being what they are........

Try the biscuit tin method ;)
  • Congratulations!

As other have said you will manage, I don't think at this stage a fourth child will cost you that much more than you are paying out as the ages of your children potty training is either done or not far away, so what you save in nappies just now will help with nappies later. Clothes hand me downs always do as does ebay and charity shops as the age they are at they have no idea. The same goes with Christmas and birthdays. As for food chuck in a little bit more cheap veg to stews and the like and it will go further. Im lucky my parents buy my children's shoes it's something they like to do.

I have 3 children (1, 5, 8) and a step daughter (18) and yes money poor happiness rich! I would love more children (I blame watching the Waltons lol) but hubby has quite rightly said no, as another one would have to live in a cupboard like harry potter lol :)

    Good luck with your pregnancy!
