These !!!!! are the worst bunch of !!!!!! moronic !!!!!!s I've ever had this misfortune of doing business with.
I complained on the very first day that I wanted my payment date moving to the 1st of the month - a movement of 1 day - in line with how it was with Egg, and so that I don't risk getting bank charges by having money come out before my wages go in, and they've done !!!! all about it. I've rung them 3 times about it (and been refused access to speak to somebody in the UK), sent 3 online messages, and all I've had back is to be told on the phone that they can't do it themselves and someone will ring me to sort it out, and no !!!!er has tried to contact me even once. I even had a letter on the 15th saying they are investigating and would contact within 7-10 days. Ignorant !!!!!.
!!!! the cashback, I'm going to open a credit card with a company who aren't a collection of !!!!wits. I hope these !!!!!!s go bust.0 -
The only problem I had was with getting the card account showing with my other BC accounts online. A quick complaint and a really helpful lady from their Indian contact centre phoned me and sorted everything out straight away. And no I did not shout and abuse the advisor because of the issue.0

Despite returning £300 worth of goods on my Barclaycard then still collected the full payment amount, I even phoned them and they said they would do the same as egg and the total collected would go down by £300.
I am still waiting on a reply from them as to why I got charged £6 interest last month.
New statement now shows £33 interest, these guys are a joke.:mad::mad:0 -
All went well for me too but made me laugh as i had actually paid off the Egg card few months ago and the closure was in progress when I was moved to Barclaycard. When I rang to query they confirmed card already closed with them!
Did get nice CC statement in the post saying 0 balance. i might frame it so i can focus on it to imagine the day my exisiting R4L Barclaycard s also clear!!Sealed Pot Challenge 5 - #14750 -

I've been transferred to Barclaycard but they have now closed the a/c. It is reasonable for them to hold it at 26%?
Previously in easter if you opted out interest would be 19.9%0 -
As soon as I discovered that Egg were moving the accounts to Barclaycard I asked them to close my account. I've been a Barclaycard customer in the past and they are a ruddy disgrace.
Egg Customer Services were always excellent. Helpful, polite and very efficient. When I phoned up to close the account they were very helpful and initiated proceedings straight away.
Unfortunately, despite the account being closed, Barclaycard still sent me a card and a PIN. Egg again contacted Barclaycard to close my account who again promised to close the account and remove my details from their system. I was told to destroy card & PIN.
Despite this, I received a letter from Barclaycard at the beginning of November telling me that the transfer of my account was all going according to plan and that I would be able to activate my card on 7th November. So I phoned them up and of course went through to their Bangalore call centre. I told them the story and they said that they would sort it, if I gave them the long number from the front of the card. The card they had told me to destroy 2 weeks earlier. *sigh* Because I couldn't give them the number, they wouldn't speak to me. I asked to speak to Customer Services, they put me on hold for 10 minutes. Then the same guy came back on and repeated everything he had said to me previously. I asked to be put through to Customer Services, they put me on hold for 10 minutes. Then the same guy came back on and repeated everything he had said to me previously. I asked to be put through to.... can you see a pattern emerging here?
After putting HIM on hold and banging my head against the wall for a few minutes, I asked again to speak to someone in Customer Services. I was put through to his supervisor, who could at least talk to me without reading from a script. She said that my account would DEFINITELY not be transfered fom Egg. Marvellous.
Last week I received a statement of account from Barclaycard.
:wall:
This is precisely why I closed the account originally. I also moved my current account and all investments at the same time. When Barclaycard closed their UK call centres, all customer service disappeared.
They are fine as long as you never need to speak to them. You had me at your proper use of "you're".0 -
What a load of old cobblers - that has GOT to be the worst methodology of working I have ever encountered (and believe me, being ex forces, I've encountered some shabby systems!)
I just signed up to their online system, and lo and behold, I had been charged a not inconsiderable sum in interest last month, despite both Egg and now Barclaycard having a mandate to clear the whole balance by direct debit each month.
However, it has been refunded, but the chap I spoke to explained how the system works ..... and it beggars belief! Because I had a refund on the card (due to moving house and the car insurance going down), their cysterns, sorry, I mean systems treat any money credited as a partial payment, and will then charge interest on anything outstanding. Of course, it didn't stop them collecting the whole balance at the usual time ..... the balance that I had then also been charged interest on for not having paid it!
Needless to say, they admitted that it was their error (with a line that is was just a "different way of working" :rotfl:) and have refunded the account for the interest charged for last month, and stopped any interest for this month.
My son wants a cowboy outfit for Christmas - I wonder if I could buy Barclaycard for him?0
