I too have had a text from Orange advising of the price increase. My plan ends in March next year & guess what, i will not be renewing it!!!!0

I'd already decided to leave when my contract was up and this has just made that decision for me.
Also as I have a large 'loyalty' discount I wouldn't be surprised if the increase is based on the actual tariff, rather than the one I pay after discount.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I have the same loyalty discount! I am sure they will use your original tariff because they do for everything else! Typical, I can't wait to leave them now!0 -

I have got 6 months left on my contract and really want to cancel, but cant seem to find a way of doing it without paying! I was hoping this price increase would let me cancel but it seems not...0

lower inflation = lower prices? :rotfl:0 -
Guess its time to scrutinise my contract later to find an out. This is not right at all. I will definitely not be renewing either.0

Friends have already received their texts and mine is no doubt on its way (signed up for my current contract in August - wish I'd waited a month now!).
I think the important question is whether all the networks have similar RPI increase terms in THEIR T&Cs. If so, it seems that customers will now have to consider these mid-contract increases when taking out the contracts as no doubt now that one has done it the others will almost certainly follow (or alternatively make a selling point of promising NOT to increase the price mid-contract - no doubt this is wishful thinking on my part though!)0 -
Just had the text as well and I am not happy as I am only 12 months in to the contract.
My contract is 28 per month, but I have a friend/family discount applied. Will it affect the discount I get? Utterly cluecless about this0
