    Morning all,

Terribly behind here, its my darling girls 17th Birthday today :bdaycake:cant believe how the years have flown by, she had some money last week for shopping, and has had a few bits to open this morning, I asked her what she wants to do today, and she would like to go to the town of many charity shops :money:, so we are off there, will have some lunch out too :T.

Hugs to all in need, will pop back later xx
  • Been to the Dr, she listened to the heartbeat and Roo is more active today and everything seems fine.

On her advice (and help with contacts) I called the Day Unit and spoke to a midwife. I've got all the contact details and an action plan and i'm to come in when it all happens again and get the baby monitored.

Only thing is she said my Low BP symptoms are really severe, especially considering that my BP readings are just not that low. She thinks I should go see another GP for a second opinion. This has left me in a dilema because my GP has been there for me through everything for 5 years and she is just amazing, and I trust her. All my syptoms are Low BP (because I researched it, and my symptoms don't match anything else at all) and some people do have really severe symptoms without low readings, while others have low readings and no symptoms.

I don't really want to go for a second opinion... but the question is should I anyway?

My Dr is sure to know if I do.
We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy!

Hi everyone - I've been MIA over the weekend. We had a busy Saturday then yesterday I felt as if I was getting another cold, but I think I've reacted allergically to something - I have a stuffy nose and an irritating cough. I have no idea what has caused it because I don't have the usual triggers (perfumes, air-fresheners, etc.) in the house. Some of the local farmers have been having winter bonfires lately, so perhaps it's connected to that.

Beth - I hope everything works out for you.

JG - glad that Roo is progressing well.

Redruby - Happy Birthday to your DD! 17 year old, eh? I can just about remember that!

Dinner tonight will be a bit more of the roast leg of pork that is part of the pig that I now have in my freezer. I don't think we'll ever eat it all, there's so much of it! The leg was huge - we had some yesterday, with a bit more today, then I shall get DH to carve the rest of it to freeze in portions. One of his brothers is visiting tomorrow, so he will be going back home with a massive shoulder of pork, plus some ribs, trotters, and belly strips. He only lives half an hour away, so it should all stay frozen until he gets back home. That donation will only slightly dent the supply in the freezer.

Anyway, that's all I can think of for now. Hope you all have as good a day as possible.

Go out of normal surgery hours to an nhs walk in centre. If your symptoms are bad it's reasonable to go and if it's out of hours then you couldn't possibly have gone to your normal GP. Hope everything stays okay and goes smoothly, not long left til you meet baby :j

My DD bought me a lovely box of M&S biscuits as a present yesterday for looking after the boys I am going to save them for Christmas then the boys can help me eat some when they are on their school holidays :):)
This afternoon after I pick the boys up we are going to watch Rango on DVD that one of them has borrowed from his pal so it will be knitting needles clacking away and a hot cuppa and a cuddle from the little one, my idea of a nice winters afternoon
