  • Good luck with the uni visit tomorrow Bonnie, which one is it?

We are going to Royal Holloway (Egham, Surrey). He wants to study physics  We have lunch packed and I have OU books to read on train so making good use of time! No flying today unless I can be ars*d this evening (unlikely).

The 'preparing for winter' thread has loads of info re electric blankets (among many other things). Did I read correctly that you were 'off to bed with a hottie' - oh err missus, hope you were kept warm :rotfl:

    Have a good day all!

Achieved so much yesterday - absolutely shattered today, not to mention the disturbed sleep with DD having a bad dream. Thank goodness the cat brought a live bird in, otherwise we would have all over slept.

Wednesday ~ Bathroom / shower room
    Level One
[STRIKE] Clear floors of clothes and other gib. [/STRIKE]
    Wipe down tiles.
    Clean light cord.
    Level Two
[STRIKE]Clean baths, toilets, sinks,[/STRIKE] shower tray including the outside
[STRIKE] Sort out all half used bottles of stuff.[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE] Dump all out of date stuff / stuff no longer in use[/STRIKE]
    Level Three
Wash your bathroom mats, nets, clean blind/curtains, shower curtains
[STRIKE] Remove all items out of these rooms that are not bath / shower items, and rehome correctly.[/STRIKE]
We'll see how we get on today... x

Not at work (I wonder why? :rotfl: but I'm not going on the rally - I was originally going to visit my baby sister but can't as the floor fitters have turned up a day early; however the cold has turned into a chest infection (as per usual - does anyone else get an itch at the top of their chest when they have a chest infection - sort of on my collarbone under my neck) so I am now using my time well. DS is tucking into cooked breakfast - scrambled eggs on toast and I have promised to buy him some kosher weetab1x as oppsoed to own brand (He eats 4!!!!) and I have washing out and have washed DD's gilet. Contacted driving school for times/prices/discounts etc and just about to take the car up to the tyre place to get the spare wheel fitting checked and see if the pucture can be repaired. I wasn't going to drive to Northampton BTW - not without having these checks done I was going with mum.

    Back in a bit!

    In my HHC I've

    Emptied and reloaded TD
Emptied and reloaded WM - I've put my woollens in hoping they might dry a bit on the line later
    Washed dishes
    Cleaned microwave
Put bins away - they were still on the front from yesterday
    Filled a binbag with rubbish
    Put recycling in bins
    Dusted shelf in hall
    Hoovered hall
Emptied hoover and wiped it over

    Not too bad at all

    Anyone fancy another HHC?

I need a new hoover as this one is useless for dog hairs even though it is supposed to be for animals - I'm thinking of either a Miele or a Dyson - anyone got any thoughts?
