Can't believe it's only 2 weeks to Christmas. Fortunately, I think I will make it money-wise. I've got £160 coming before Christmas.

I've got another present to buy which costs £19.50 (for OH's mum, but he has said he will give me some of it back when he gets paid the Friday before Xmas, as £20 is just too much to spend on his mum) and I've got to put £40 into various money wallets.

I'm going out for my Christmas meal tomorrow (with a friend I used to work with). It costs around £10, but we do lunch regularly and I think it's her turn to pay, so I'm hoping that she is going to :o.

I've got £30 worth of bills to pay out next week and have to save £12 for my useless 10 minute hospital visit on Monday 19th (£10 petrol, £2 parking - all for a 10 minute appointment ).

So, that leaves me with around £50 excess. I need to put petrol in soon, have to buy some more Christmas cards (max £5), and I still owe my sister some for my mum's present (about £15).

Anyway, preparations for next year's free presents are going well. I am nearly at payout on a lot of sites. I should definitely get another £5 Amazon voucher for my friend's present before the end of this month. I'll then order her gift ASAP, as her birthday is on 7th January.

I've got a whole £1.32 in JPJ from the free game this week. I'm trying to save up to £10 and then plan on withdrawing it and using it to buy cards and wrapping paper as I go along. If I don't get it before January, I have a card and some paper that I can use for my friend's gift.

My next birthday is then in March, which is my grandma's, and I usually put £10 in a card for her. I'm nearly at payout on a cash survey site, so fingers crossed I can request that before the end of the year, and that should come through in time (takes 6-8 weeks). It's an American site, but I reckon I should get around £25. So I can use that for my grandma's birthday and mother's day.

I think I have rambled enough now. Off to get ready to go round my mum's and get my Sunday roast :).

Well Done Emz, whats the next thing to cross off your Day Zero list? I must admit I'm quite hooked with it. I hope to finish one of my books and start on the books on my list :p

Not sure really. It does get quite addictive doesn't it? I've got some easy ones that I could knock off quickly. I want to try and find a couple of days to myself so that I can watch films all day and read a book in one day.

I've got loads on there that I am only going to achieve with a competition win though. Need to get entering those comps ASAP ;).

Yay, my friend paid for lunch :D. Means I am £10 better off - but ended up putting it in for petrol anyway. Managed to pick up my prescription and a couple of library books at the same time.

I think I will be okay reading a book in one day. Usually once I get into a book, I can't put it down. So I just need to make sure it's a good one.

Michael Connelly's Harry Bosch books are great to read in one day.

Thanks Lou :A - I'll look into that and see if the library have them.

Just ordered a free valentine's day card for my OH :) (we don't bother with presents).

    Hi Emz,

I've been lurking for a while - glad you have decided to put yourself a bit further up the priority list at last! :j

Just reading your 101 list - I haven't seen 50/50 but will look it up :) I used to be a real one for making the most of life and not wasting it but have got a bit bogged down the last few years, think it's time to get the balance back again :D So I will get listing!

good luck on your DF journey but also with all the fun stuff too! :D

oooh - ETA - I had a Mini a couple of years back - a 1.6 Cooper D Clubman - I absolutely loved him and cried when I had to get rid of him (needed a bigger car!). Great cars!
